Question about Plantronics GameCom Pro 1 Headset

2 Answers

The left headphone on my Plantronics Gamecom Pro 1 headset seems to not be working. Occassionally upon plugging it back in (it is USB), both headphones will work, but then the left one seems to cut out within seconds. I checked the connections in the volume control and in the DSP box, but am not sure how to open up the headphone itself to check the connections short of tearing it off and irreparably damaging it.

I have the same model and that just happened to me. I noticed that the sound in the left speaker is still there, so I tweaked the balance in the propierties of playback putting the right one in 100 and the left in 0 and got it to work even if it is at 20% of the normal volume. Not happy but its something.
I suspect that is a conection problem though.
Have you figured out yet how to open the phones?

Nope. Worked for a little while. Sound is completely off in the left speaker. :(

Most headphones are sealed by clips located underneath the foam (on the ear things). Stick a paperclip or xacto knife into the hole to unlatch the clips and then pry it outward. However, check the cable for any obvious breaks before disassembling your headphones.

Go into the computer's "control panel" and "audio devices", just to make sure that the Plantronics GameCom 377 is listed as the default device for both the microphone and listening. You sometimes have to designate the headset within the individual software programs as well.

Hello. I recently bought a Plantronics Gamecom 367 Gaming Headset and found a big problem: My Microphone is not working. Please Help.

There is no information on the Plantronics Game-com 367; no manual. If it is still under warranty get it exchanged as soon as possible. You might want to look at the place where you purchased it for warranty information. Make sure the cords are plugged in correctly, and make sure that your computer recognizes the new device. You might have to look at the control panel to see if the mic is turned on.

Hey,

I would try this on another phone to see if the issue carries across. If it does I would call plantronics to have them arrange a warranty.

Right headphone is louder than the right one.

It could be a short in the sound board jack on your computer or a loose connection in the headset itself. If the headset is still under warranty, I would suggest getting a replacement from Plantronics.

Most headphones hide the access under the part that fits to your ear. The Black rubber pad cushion should remove and you made need to peal away the foam part depending on the type. You might have to glue it back on when done. There should be between 2 and 4-5 screws of the tiny possidrive type. I found soldering the wires back on tricky. They seem to resist the solder, sometimes a bit of spit helps.
The biggest problem however to headphone repair is getting the Black foam pad back on! There's a kind of skirt that has to go around the thing and it never wants to go on!!
PS make certain the cable doesn't have breaks in it especially around the plug!!

Need wiring diagrams for headset

I have the circuitry guide for the DSP box. I'm going to consider the top of the board the part with five connections, and the bottom is the part with eight connections.
From left to right on the top, the insulation colors are: red, white, green, black, no insulation.
From the left to right on the bottom, the insulation colors are: white, copper, copper/green, blue/green, red/green, red, copper/blue, green.
