if the page is being received it will print. if the content on the page is missing that would mean a fault with the toner/ink supply has occured. try new cartridges. the drum may have failed if you have a toner system. the laser that generates the image may be at fault. a number of things can go wrong. try always include make and model.
It might be easiest to reset the printing system and then add your printer(s) again. It may be that you have something stuck in the printer queue that is causing the problem.
To reset the printing system in OS X 10.5.x, open the Print & Fax System Preference. Control-click (right-click) in the list of printers on the left side. Choose the option to reset the printing system. You will need to add your printer again after you reset the printing system.
Another possibility is that you may need to reset something from the printer's control panel. The printer may be rejecting your jobs until fault from the previous job is cleared.
The kind of error you are getting is due to fault in the ink and print section so you can clean the print head with soft tissue and install the cartridge properly and check the vent of it and now reset the printer by turning on and disconnecting by pressing power button for 20 seconds and hopefully everything will work out it the problem persists then you might have to replace the print head
The ink indicator permanently on indicates an ink cartridge problem, (not that the protection counter needs resetting). The status monitor picture of the ink cartridges should show which cartridge is at fault, it will have a red X on it. The cartridge is empty, faulty, or in the wrong position. Alternatively, you may have an internal fault e.g. with the system board. But change the indicated faulty cartridge first.
Black toner problem.Probably You have low toner sensor defect.
But try first to vacuum and clean black toner dispenser. You must vacuum whole path wich is used to transport black toner to developer unit. Then if printing B/W print only, you must print 10 full color sheets every 100 copies.
