Question about Presto HeatDish® Plus Footlight® Electric Heater

1 Answer

My Presto HeatDish Plus keeps making an abnormal clicking sound (at a low setting, turns on then off without any sort of pattern). There is also a bright streak of light that appears at the back of the heater with the abnormal clicking. What is this? Is this unit or my outlet?

I have the same issue. I am worried that this could be a problem and this spark might start a fire. Does anyone else have it too? or have an opinion abou that?

Where can i locate the on/off machinism for the presto heat dish?

Handy top-mounted thermostatic control maintains the desired temperature automatically plus it has a special safeguard features turn the heater off automatically in case of accidental tip-over. Because of this technology they eliminated an on/off switch. You have to unplug it if you want it to be totally off. sorry

When i turn on my heater after a few minutes it will make a long buzzing sound

1. Check for loose connections at the heater coil terminals area. If everything's alright, one of your heating
elements is about to give up, and it may need to be replaced.
2. You may also check the other components, since you will be opening the HeatDish Compact Heater.
Hope this will help you.
