Question about Samsung HT-C650W Theater System

Open Question

How do i reset my samsung ht-c6530 blu ray home theater system to its factory defaults so that i may redo the initial setup? it is brand new and when i first turned it on it was working fine, the setup started and i got a few steps into it when i had to leave for work so i turned it off. now when i turn it on it says "samsung blue ray home theatre system" on screen with a wood panel backround. then it goes blank and the LED display on the blu ray says "setup" and nothing happens on screen or anywhere no matter what i do. using the remote i can switch from bd/dvd to hdmi 1, 2 etc and change the volume. tried putting in a blu ray (also brand new) and it just sits on 00:00, nothing happens on screen, its just blank. the user manual hints that theres a "reset function" but nowhere does it actually say how to do it. it also suggests that holding the stop button with no disc in the drive will return you to the setup options but like i said nothing happens. help please!!

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Disk stuck in my Blue Ray

Hi!
I had the same problem, and I solved it by shutting down the unit and then disconnected the power supply for some sec. When re-connecting the power supply and pushing the start button the DVD was ejected when pushed the eject button.

If your television has RCA style audio/video output you can use an audio RCA cable (red & white connectors) and simply plug from the 'output' of your television into the auxilliary input on the back of the HT-BD2.

Then select AUX on the HT-BD2 remote, whenever you wish to listen to the television audio.

SOURCE: I try to connect my BD player with HDMI port cable

Is your sony receiver HDMI pass through? some receivers dont allow audio just video through HDMI. Connect a digital coaxial cable from the dvd to the receiver and you should get true dolby surround.

Suggest you go back and check all connections with speakers that wires are connected with input properly I have given you web address for manual usually find wires are not bared back enough for connection test each one individually with a tester to make sure there are no broken wires.

SOURCE: System turns off by itself

My unit said "protection", "goodbye" so I opened it up and found a capacitor to one of the speakers had blown, right by the fan. It's a 35 cent part and a simple solder job. The hardest part was getting the face plate off the dvd tray so I could get to the circuit board.

Blu-Ray disc stops playing after 20 minutes

New Blu Ray home theater player can not play new Blu Ray movies according to Samsung customer support. It is a JAVA code issue and they are working on a software upgrade. No release date is known. I tried playing The Hulk, Ironman and Wanted. None would play.

Thanks Samnsung for wasting my time and money!!!
