I can't install software on my 2690 and I can't seem to be able to access the memory

First of all you should restore factory settings.for that you go to settings click on restore factory settings security code (default 12345) after then activate gprs settings.here is the procedure for gprs activation.please keep it up:-
1) Open your Nokia 2690
2) Click on Settings
3) Click on Configuration
4) Click on Personal Configuration settings
5) Type your Account name( may be probably your service provider company name)
6) Leave Blank User Name
7) Leave Blank Password
8) Click on Use preferred access point
9) Click on No
10) Click on Access point settings
11) Click on Proxy
12) Choose Enable
13) Leave Blank Proxy address
14) Leave Blank Proxy port
15) Click on Data Bearer
16) Choose Packet data
17) Click on Bearer settings
18) Click on Packet data access point
(may be probably your internet service provider company name)
19) Click on Network type
20) Choose IPv4
21) Click on Authentication type
22) Choose Normal
22) Leave Blank User name
23) Leave Blank password

After Configuration your personal settings go back:-
24) Click on Default configuration settings
25) Click on Personal configuration
26) Click on Items received: *Web
27) Click on Activate default in all applications
28) Click on Yes

then you should install opera 3 not opera5 because it takes a lot time to loading.the fie format is opera3.jar after installing the opera 3 you can easily download any software,game application from it.

for memory you should format it from card reader.otherwise try to unlock its password from memory card unlocker device.you will get the solution.thank you.

Need GPRS/MediaNet configuration for unlocked Nokia 2730


GSM data is up to 9600bps. GPRS is Packet Data. If you select the Packet Data configuration it should be able to auto configure by interrogating AT&T. If not try at&t's website for a similarish model and find the GPRS settings from there.

Go to Menu
choose settings
choose connectivity
go to packet data
go to packet data connection
choose - when needed
go to packet data settings
go to Active access point
type "bsnlgprs"
go to Edit active access point
go to Alias for active point
type "bsnlgprs"
go to packet data access point
type "wapsouth.cellone.in" (Other regions replace south with their region)
now come back to settings
go to configuration
go to preferred access point
type "BSNL Internet"
now go to Menu and Choose Web
You will find Personal Configuration in 'Configuration"
and 'bsnlgprs' in Account
Wherever you find Proxy Server, Enable it
Wherever you find Proxy port No: type 9401
Connection is 'IPv4"
now go to Personal ConfigurationSettings and in options click Activicate. Now Enjoy OPERA MINI
