Question about Coby MP815 Digital Media Player

1 Answer

My computer doesn't recognize my Coby MP-815 MP3 Player. Also does not show the player is plugged in in the Coby Media Manager program. Under the Device Column, it states that the MP-815 player device is un-plugged. I have tried all the USB ports on my PC and none of them recognize or have drivers downloaded for my MP-3 player. How do I get it to recognize my player? Where do I get driver downloads for it? Coby website does not offer driver downloads for my MP-815 MP-3 player. HELP!

Cant play video

1. Turn on the MP3 player, go to Settings/Setup - System - Change USB mode to MSC
2. Connect the MP3 player to the computer
3. The MP3 player will show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'
4. Double click on it, it will load Coby Media Manager, follow prompts to install
5. Click the 'Movie' tab at the left hand side of Coby Media Manager, the software will scan your computer for video files.
6. Once your video shows, right click the video, and click 'Sync', this will add the video file to your MP705 with the correct format.

Removed coby meadia manager program from computer when plugging usb cord & coby mp3-600 back into computer. will not recognise devise as new & reload program

Media Manager is just the software that allows you to sync, the MP3 player should still show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'. If not, check your connections, something should also appear on the MP3 player screen when connected to the computer.

My system is not supporting coby MP-7052gb I want coby software for file transfer

Your system should support it, most likely your computer doesnt recognize the device on MTP mode, you can switch this on the device, go to Setup Mode > System > USB Mode > put the USB Mode to MSC, and then reconnect the MP3 player to your computer, the MP3 player should then show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'.

Installation

If you have deleted the program from your computer, you should be able to plug the Coby player (TURNED OFF) to the computer and re-install it.

If Coby Manager program is no longer on the Coby player (If you re-formatted the player), you can get a copy of the MANAGER here:

CobyMedia Manager fix for MP822 (Windows XP/2000/Vista)

Don't let it throw you that it says it's for the MP822 - it also works great for the MP610

1. Install Coby Media Manager from download

2. Open Media Manager

3. Plug your COBY player (THAT IS TURNED OFF) into the USB port - it will show up in the "DEVICE" tab
