Question about Dishwashers
Well gaz put your work clothes on i am a lg oem authorized repair company... if the pump is bad you have to pull the dishwasher and turn it up to get to the bottom of unit and replace... not really that difficult just time consuming... it is possible to get down into it from the inside of unit by removing componets in bottom of dishwasher and checkwith your finger for obstructions...these things have plastic impellers so it doesnt take much to take out the motor... goodluck.....

The main water pump on this model does not last long. The water seal between pump and motor starts to leak that result in the adjacent motor bearing corroding and eventually failing, resulting in excessive noise. Later the water leak becomes so bad that it triggers the "E I" water leakage display and prevents it from completing the program. The pump and motor is sold as one unit and the whole unit must be replaced. I have tried to replace the faulty bearing and repacked the rubber seal with silicon grease but with no success. If anyone have repaired the water seal successfully please let us know.
