SOURCE: Installing internal board dell d600 nic hardaware

The wireless card bay is located under a panel on the bottom of the machine. It will have two leads (wires) the plug onto it. There will be only one place that the card fits and you will know it when you see the two wires. After installing the card, then you will need the drivers in order for it to work properly, you can find the drivers at driverguide.com using the make and model of the card. Also, the two leads will only work properly if connected correctly. The card will work if connected wrong but the reception will be lousy. If you find that you're not getting a good signal after everything is installed and working, try switching the wires.

SOURCE: Conection to TV using S-video on Dell D600

install the ati omega drivers for your OS from http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php and follow the readme file. Note that although you have a 7-pin s video output, only use a 4 pin cable. After installing the drivers per the instructions in the readme file and rebooting, on the screen with the outputs where you've seen TV as a greyed out option, you now have the option to force TV output at the bottom... That was the missing feature that ATI's drivers did not support. You should be good to go from there. Additionally, some people suggest making sure the svideo cable is connected from the laptop to the TV when you boot up.

My dell vostro A860 cannot connect to wi-fi.am usin windows 7.wat might be the problem?

Wireless Internet has become increasingly popular as a means of connecting to the Internet. Wireless networking allows for users to connect to the Internet without having to physically plug anything into the computer. If you are not able to connect to any wireless Internet connections, it is important to take a few simple troubleshooting steps on your own to understand the cause of the issue and resolve it.

1.Try connecting to multiple wireless networks. The first step in diagnosing a lack of wireless connectivity is to try more than one wireless network. This will give you an idea of whether the problem is with your laptop or just with the single wireless network to which you are trying to connect. Take your Dell D600 to one or more free public wifi hotspots and try connecting wirelessly there. If you are able to connect to other wireless networks, the issue is more likely with the single wireless network you first tried to connect to; contact the person that manages that network to resolve the connectivity issue.
2.Verify that your wireless card is enabled. If you are not able to connect to any wireless network, it is important to make sure that your laptop's wireless components are enabled. All modern laptops come with what is called a radio button, a way to enable or disable your laptop's wireless card with the touch of a button. The Dell D600 has the radio button assigned to the F2 key. To make sure it is enabled, hold down the Fn key on the bottom row of the keyboard and press the F2 key. A pop-up window on the laptop should now indicate whether your wireless card is enabled or disabled; make sure it is set to enabled.
3.Verify your wireless card drivers. Navigate to your computer's Device Manager by clicking "Start," right clicking on "My Computer," choosing "Properties," clicking the "Hardware" tab and clicking "Device Manager." Locate "Network Adapters" from the list of hardware devices and click the "+" icon next to it to expand its contents. Among the contents, locate anything with "Wireless adapter" in the name and check to see if it shows a "?" "X" or "!" over the name. If it does, or if there is no wireless adapter showing under network adapters, your wireless card may need to be replaced or may need a software-driver update. Contact the manufacturer of your computer or take the laptop to a computer-repair store for further assistance.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Can I connect my dell latitude d600 laptop to my tv?

The Dell Latitude D600 has a VGA out. If your TV has a VGA connector then you should be able to connect it to it. All you have to do is connect the cable, and press the hot key to enable VGA output. Usually its Fn+F5 or Fn+F7 for Dell laptops.

Hi, I just started using my dell lattitude e6400 and need to know how i enable the wireless

The little stair step symbol is the Dell Wireless Utility.
If it has an X on it (as in the image above), your wireless is disabled.

Flip the switch on the right side of the laptop to enable it.

When the X disappears, double click on the stairs and it will open the utility.

Wireless connection

Hi Kazmerr

Re: Dell Latitude d600

Assuming you already turned your wireless, your distance should be in range fom your router. Turn off and on the switch  or you can press Fn+F2 to start your wireless connection. If thats a no go check your wireless client  and make sure no other wireless client is installed ie. your ISP wireless connection manager.

Other work around for this is : make sure you have enabled or started your wireless client for windows by ff the steps below :

Win XP Sp2: start > control panel  classic view> administrative tools > services > then look for Wireless Zero Configuration and right click it and choose start or restart . After doing this you may check or view your available wireless network again.IF no go >

For winXP or VIsta ONLY
Go to start > control panel   { classic view } > system > device manager > Look for network adapter {+} sign > look for 802.11g wireless / or anything that says 'wireless' and make sure that theres no yellow question or excamation mark on it and IF none right click it and choose remove/uninstall> then restart PC > and try to view avaialable wireless again by ff the steps above.

{ tthis will refresh your wireless network hardware and software}

Note: for yellow exclamation marks or questions marks on your wireless adapter you MUST reinstall your DEll Wireless adapter. using you DELL System Recovery Disk.

In most instance it has somthing to do with your wireless switch on your laptop. With all possible steps porvided above doesnt woprk pls notify me. Thanks and good luck.
