Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Left Cartidge incorrect

When I turn my printer on the error message that comes up is "Left Cartridge incorrect". I have taken it out and put it back in a number of times, but at no time has it looked wrong or even uncomfortable. I haven't bought a new ink cartridge for quite a while yet it still reads as having plenty of ink left. I don't know what to believe.

    Funnily enough, I bought a cartridge in the end, now the problem has changed. The supplier, though I didn't know it at the time, supply refilled cartridges and in this particular printer the effect is particularly bad. It reads that the ink level is below the advised level. I know it is terrible saying this and now every time I try to print it prints out black and blue boxes and freezes the computer. It's ridiculous, Dell is the worst of all computer manufacturers that I have yet come across. I apologise, but it gets me.

Hi, remvoe the black ink cartridge , dip the cartridge in luke warm water for 30 secs , clean the cartridge and unplug the power adapter from the printer , wait for a minute and then reconnect it back , put back the cartridge and then look for the error msg , if it stil displays the same error then its an issue with the cartridge and needs to be replaced..

Good job in re-seating the cartridges into the printer. Try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if your other cartridge has gone bad.

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord for about a minute. This should reset the error codes. If you still receive the same code when you go to print, open the case and the cartridges should move to the center to be replaced. Take each cartridge out and make sure there is nothing that is covering the sensors or physically wrong with them. Put the cartriges back in and make sure they are "seated" properly. Test to see if you still receive the error message.

If you still experience the error message and the cartridges are old or less than 50% ink, there might be an issue with the cartridge's internal sensor. You can find out more information on the internal sensor's HERE

Replaced black cartridge in my lexmark 3500-4500 printer. message reads "left cartridge incorrect". Have taken cartridge out and put back in numerous times still get this message.


You may have bent or broken a sensor wire. Check how the other (color) side looks by removing cartridge and confirm that nothing is awry. Otherwise, clean the metal contacts on both printer (power off and unplug) and cartridge with rubbing alchohol and a cotton swab, then try again.

Lexmark x9350 printer gives error message #1203


I logged into Lexmark's web site and checked their printer support page. It said that if you get error message 1203 your ink cartridge has leaked fluid. In order to find the right cartridge, do the following. Remove both ink cartridges, put in one, turn off the printer, turn it back on and if you get the message 1203 that's the cartridge with the problem. I did not get that message. I turned off the printer, put in the other cartridge, and turned it back on. Sure enough, I got the 1203 message again. (I had cleaned the wrong cartridge before). I removed the leaky cartridge, cleaneded it (making sure I did not leave any residue) and put it back in the printer. It worked!

Newly installed Cartridge. Problem: "Left cartridge incorrect".


When you place the old cartidge does it give you this problem.try to clean the contacts on the printer and the cartridge it self.

plz follow some step:-

1. try to reinstall cartideg and check.
2. check printer with new cartirdeg or check your printer cartidge in any other printer .
your cartidge may by faulty 90%
3.now the problem in your printer sencer so do service of your printer if u can.

HP 3650 gives incorrect error message


Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

OKI C3200N laser printer, low toner problems


For each toner there is an individual toner sensor. There is a real good possibility that the metal contacts on the sensors have become dirty. Typically, a little bit of canned air directly on the sensor contacts will resolve the issue.

After removing a toner cartidge, look to hte left side of where that cartridge rests. The sensor is located there.

Lexmark x1180 printer all in one


Clean the contacts on the cartidge and printer ( open the replace ink door wait for the printhead to come to center and turn off power) if that does not work then replace cartridge, it might be a recycled one that they did not chane the chip.
