SOURCE: Installation is restarting my computer

I am sorry to say but this is a physical problem, so there is no fix.
if you got the webcam recently, send it back from where you got it from and get a new one or a refund but otherwise, it is good for the bin.

i had a webcam do that to me a few weeks ago and the computer is stopping itelf being fried from surges from the webcam, so best not to try to use the webcam anymore because the computer cant keep protecting etself, eventualy it will damage the computer and will be expensive to repair.

Sorry, there is nothing much that can be done if it cant be sent back to the manufacturer

How do i get Sansai webcam to work on my pc?

To help you install and configure Sansui webcam with your computer, please follow the step-by-step instructions given below:
Modern webcams require very little user input to install. Most webcams should install themselves automatically after you plug them in. If your webcam doesn't automatically install, all you'll need is the driver file from the manufacturer's website.
- Plug the webcam into a USB port on your computer. If the webcam is built-in to your computer, skip down to Step 4. Plug the webcam directly into your computer, not into a USB hub.
- Wait for the webcam to be installed automatically. Most operating systems will automatically detect and install the necessary software for your webcam. If this doesn't happen, read on.
- You may be prompted to search for the webcam drivers. Your operating system can usually search online automatically.
- Install the software on the disc that came packaged with the webcam. This should install the drivers for the webcam, as well as any additional video software that may come with it. If you don't have the disc, read on.
- Visit manufacturer's support site. If the webcam doesn't install automatically, and you don't have a disc, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website.
- Install the downloaded drivers. You may be prompted to restart your computer.
- Open a program that will use your webcam.

Connect my microsoft life cam to my computer

Usually all the webcams are plug and play, so you can simply connect the webcam and start using it, else follow the below mentioned steps: 1. Insert the installation disc into the disc drive of the computer. The setup program should automatically run, but if it does not, browse to "My Computer" (click on "Start", then "My Computer"), and double-click on the disc drive.
2. Follow the prompts to install the driver and included software.
3. Insert the USB cable that is connected to the webcam to an open USB port on the computer. The setup program should prompt the user when the webcam should be connected.
4. Follow the prompts to complete installation. Once the Installation is over, open the software and start using it.

WARNING: DO NOT connect the camera to your computer before installing the software.

    1. Click Start and then Run.
    2. Type D:Setup.exe and press the Enter key.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
After the computer reboots, the driver installation for the camera will start. Do not connect the camera until the setup prompts you to connect the camera cable to your computer.
While the driver installation progresses, remove the camera and camera base from the packaging and mount the camera on the camera base.
When prompted, plug the camera into the USB port. You should see the following diagram to let you know where to plug the camera in:
