Hi, I'm not sure if you are indicating a laptop or the iPod Touch. They're two different things. If you're referring to a laptop, head to the manufacturer's website and reinstall the Drivers.
If you're referring to the iPod Touch, press and hold the Power Button and the Home button together for about ten seconds, it will do a hard reset on your iPod.
