I presume you are either downloading the 64-bit version on a 32-bit Operating System, this message you are indicating usually only comes up when you are attempting to run a 64-bit program on a 32-bit OS, or you are installing the MAC version.

Need to download itunes 10, software version 4.1 on my computer. Where can I get it?

This is the generic download site for iTunes. Older versions may or may not be available there. Generally, the site will check for which version is best for the computer you are using to access the site. It may offer only a later version but that version should work for your computer.

When trying to open iTunes, I get the following error message: "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes." When I click on iTunes setup, and click...

Hello wjewell154 for some reason some of your registry's were deleted from your computer. the solution to this problem is to uninstall your current Itunes software and reinstall itunes.
NOTE:uninstalling iTunes will not delete any preferences, playlists, or content; thing of what you are doing as a manuel upgrade

If you are running Windows Vista/7 goto the Start menu select "Control Panel" from the right column from that menu, select "programs and features" now find iTunes in that list and right click from the right click menu, select the bold option "Uninstall" your uninstall program will gather information about the program and then it will uninstall now click here and it will guide you to the apple website to reinstall iTunes 10
please rate :-)

Does one have to have apple computer for ipod one touch

Are you going to ( to download the latest version of iTunes? Also I would suggest attempting the download with your firewall/anti-virus software disabled. As they can sometimes cause the itunes download to not complete or download with missing files. They are not viruses but sometimes the different softwares will think they are malicious. You do not have to own an apple computer to use an apple iPod. Just make sure that your Operating System on your PC is up to date an you should be good to go. If your not downloading iTunes version then it's not the latest version. :)
