How do i open up the case for a BENQ FP567s LCD monitor to check if the fuse is blown or not? there is no power going through to the LCD....Is there anyone out there that can help tell me how to open up...

Can't say I am familiar with that exact model, but usually there are screws hidden under name plaques and other glued-on paper. Then usually the edges have tabs that "hook" under the opposite edge so even after you get all the screws out you have to insert something to unhook the tabs. But before you do all that, I have not seen many fuses inside a monitor.

The power led is flashing and the monitor will not turn on

usually for these kind of issues., here are some common steps that helps at times.
1. Check the VGA Cable that connects the Monitor to the Tower (CPU).
2. Reseat the Cable once.
3. Remove the VGA Cable & turn on the Monitor Alone. See if you get any display saying "No Signal" or anything similar. If there is some display, then it means that the problem is with the Tower (CPU) & not with the monitor.

Hope this small sugession helps.
Cheers!!! Have a nice day!!!

On pressing the power button on the front of the monitor. The button lights up then imediatly turns off. I tried the monitor on another computer with the same results.

The monitor is going bad. There are parts on the power supply board which are failing. You can send it to a company like mine or take it to a local repair person. See my website.

FP567s Ver.2 ON/OFF

This is most probably cause by one or more Faulty Electrolytic Capacitors, I find these are the MOST commonest form of "Fault" in these LCD's TFT's units. I ususally simply replace "On Spec" all High Value Electros, in fact ALL Electro's are suspect and often I just "Shotgun" and replace 'em all. Usually fixes all problems. Always use High Temperature Caps.
