Question about Goodman Heating & Cooling
I have seen this just the other day customer called and there thermostat would not maintain temp... changed batteries and after five mins did it again... couple of things need to make sure you have fresh batteries if it takes them in thermostat. also try overriding program by pressing the hold button and set where you desire see if it works then... if it still fails to maintain you need to make sure the unit is not running when it is suppose to be off... if the fan is running and the thermostat is not calling for heat or cool then it is possible the flame sensor on the heater is bad or needs to be cleaned... to be honest based on what you are saying sounds like you got two different items going on....
a sure way to test if your mechanical inclined is take the t-stat apart jump the r terminal to the w terminal go to unit and unplug for 10 seconds and plug back in if everything fires up and stays going you 100% have a thermostat issue...
