Hello,
The Intel® Desktop Board D845GVAD2 supports a single Pentium® 4 processor with a system bus frequency of 400 MHz or 533 MHz, or a single Celeron® processor with a system bus frequency of 400 MHz.

So you can install upto 3.06 GHz 533 MHz(cache memory) processor and also update the ram 2 GB 400 mhz.
Dont install Prescott processor.
Hope it will help you.

Hi zjakkhall , i am happy to assist you , the Intel Desktop Board D845GVAD2 supports a single Pentium 4 processor with a system bus frequency of 400 MHz or 533 MHz, or a single Celeron processor with a system bus frequency of 400 MHz. You cannot go for duel core processes. I can give you some list of processor in both Intel Pentium and Intel Celeron

Intel Celeron

2.80 GHz 400 MHz 128 kb
2.70 GHz 400 MHz 128 kb
2.60 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
2.50 GHz 66 MHz 128 KB
2.40 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
2.30 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
2.20 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
2.10 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
2.0 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
1.80 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB
1.70 GHz 400 MHz 128 KB

Intel Pentium

2.80 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.66 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.60 GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.53 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.50 GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.40B GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.40 GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.26 GHz 533 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.20 GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.0A GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
2.0 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.90 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.80A GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
1.80 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.70 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.60A GHz 400 MHz 512 KB P07 or greater
1.60 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.50 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater
1.40 GHz 400 MHz 256 KB P07 or greater

But if your system board is too old mean better don't go for heavy version processor.

Good luck ! if you think your problem solved don't forget to rate

Celeron d 2.66 ghz saupot

'Saupot'?

Apologizes that English is the only language I am fluent in.
I'm assuming the above word is 'Support'.

You wish to know if the MSI 945GZN3-L motherboard, will support one of the Intel Celeron D processors, that are rated at a maximum frequency rate, ('speed') of 2.667MHz?
(2.66GHz rounded off)

1) http://www.msi.com/product/mb/945GZM3.html

2) Specifications:

"Supports Socket 775 for Intel P(entium)4 5xx, or 6xx models.
Intel Pentium D 8xx and 9xx models
Intel Celeron D processors "

The MSI 945GZM3-L motherboard will support Intel Celeron D processors, that have either a 533MegaHertz Front Side Bus, or an 800MHz FSB.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_celeron_microprocessors#Celeron_.28single-core.29_3

Supports;
Intel Celeron D model 330
Intel Celeron D 330J
,and;
Intel Celeron D 331

They all have a 533MHz FSB. (Front Side Bus)

My Intel Celeron Dual Core E3400 Processor is running at 1200mhz, instead of 2600mhz. I tried altering all the available Bios options, but to no avail. Even more, my Windows XP x86 Professional recognizes...

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Power
Change the power-setting from "portable" (implying long battery life) to "desktop" (implying full speed processing, but shorter battery life).

Can I upgrade to a Intel Pentium D 945 3.40ghz processor. Intel (Augsburg) 915G Motherboard

No, the Intel (Ausberg) 915G motherboard will not support dual core processors.

The Intel (Ausberg) 915G motherboard uses an Intel 915G motherboard chipset,

http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Intel2/102007/102007sp33.shtml

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_chipsets#Pentium_4.2FPentium_D.2FPentium_EE_Chipsets

Supports only Single Core processors.

It isn't until the Intel 945G motherboard chipset, that Dual Core processors are supported.

[NOTE*
The Intel Celeron D is a Single Core processor.
The Intel Pentium D is a Dual Core processor,

Intel Celeron D,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celeron_D#Celeron_D

"The Intel Celeron D processor works with the Intel 845 and 865 chipset families. The D suffix actually has no official designation, and does not indicate that these models are dual-core. It is used simply to distinguish this line of Celeron from the previous, lower performing Northwood and Willamette series, and also from the mobile series, the Celeron M (which also uses 3xx model numbers). Unlike the Pentium D, the Celeron D is not a dual core processor."

Intel Pentium D,

Don't 'shoot the messenger'. I just state the facts.

I want a intel(r)celeron(r)cpu2.00ghz mother board drivers because my pc is having display problem

Hello,

There is no one motherboard driver, its a set of drivers. One for each different component. You need the display driver for your motherboard. Only problem is you need the model number of the motherboard. Intel Celeron 2.0 GHZ processor is just the type of processor it has.

You can either post the make and model of your PC, or open the side of the computer tower, the big flat mainboard will have the model number in fairly big letters printed right on it. I can be of further assistance when I have that information.

Thank you for choosing Fixya.

Cpu upgrade

Your computer has one of these options:
spacer.gif level2_arrow.gif Intel® Celeron® Processor 560
(1MB L2 cache, 2.13GHz, 533MHz FSB)
or
Intel® Celeron® Processor 550
(1MB L2 cache, 2.0GHz, 533MHz FSB)
or
Intel® Celeron® Processor 540
(1MB L2 cache, 1.86GHz, 533MHz FS
or
Intel® Celeron® Dual-Core Processor E1400
(512KB shared L2 Cache, 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB)
or
Intel® Celeron® Dual-Core Processor T1400
(512KB shared L2 Cache, 1.73GHz, 533MHz FSB) spacer.gif

Check the features with Acer first and see if your motherboard model support that speed processor.
