I believe one of your Drivers in your Device Manager needs to be uninstalled. Here's how this can be accomplished:

  1. Right-click My Computer and select Properties
  2. Click on the Advanced tab
  3. Click on Environment Variables
  4. Below the bottom Environment Variables window pane (System Variables), click on New
  5. For Variable Name, enter devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices
  6. For Variable Value, enter 1
  7. Click OK to close Environment Variables and OK again to close System Properties

Once you do that, open up the Device Manager, click on View and enable the Show Hidden Devices. Expand the column in the Device Manager which shows your SD Card and if the image icon to the left of the text is grayed out, remove it. You can do this with any other column in the Device Manager too, as long as it's grayed out, it's safe to remove. This is simply the devices your computer has used at some point in time but was left on the computer when you stopped using it.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I downloaded the new whats app but showing error and completed download

I also downloaded an app (not Whatsapp) and that fried my SD card. Inserted a new one and all is fine now. I did not download the app that caused the problem again, but I googled the problem and apparently this does happen more frequently than I thought. I don't think it is a particular app, just that the cards don't always last forever. Luck of the draw I suppose.

How do i change my message alert on my sony x10

1)Connect your phone to your computer.
2)Mount your SD Card.
3)If you have PC Companion, goto file manager... if not goto My Computer and open your SD card.
4)Create the following folders "SD Root folder":\media\audio\notifications
5)Unmount SD Card
6)Open Messenger
7)Open Settings
8)Open 'Select ring tone' (You better have notifications already selected...if not...this little list is too much for you to handle.)
9)Select Ring tone, it is labeled however the file was named.

How do i change my htc text tones (alert) to mp3

To add other sounds to your notifications list, you will need to get to your SD card.

On your SD card, you will need to create a directory titled media. Within the media directory, create a folder titled audio. Within the audio directory, create a folder titled notifications.

Place any .mp3s or other sounds into this notifications folder. Unmount the SD card. Reboot your phone. When you go to Settings > Sound & display > Notification sound, you should see all the newly copied files on your notification list.

Good luck.

Removed SD Card is everpresent in the notification bar on my Tmobile G1, even with a microsd card in the memory slot

Your SD card is corrupted. Since it's corrupt (or worse, broken), the G1 won't be able to mount it to your computer via USB and you will have to insert it into your computer via an adapter. From there you can format the drive (make sure it's formatted fat32) and it should be fine. I've fragged my SD cards a couple of times and had to format. If you are unable to re-format the SD card, then there may have been some sort of actual, physical damage to it, although that's unlikely.

Option to use SD card as usb not available

I found the solution to that problem its because something was deleted when updated but heres how it works. first connect usb to phone and then connect usb to computer as soon as you do that on your phone select menu and then select notifications and then usb connect and everything should be fine.
Good Luck.
