Don't know how all that checking took place
or why you don't know if both motors are working
I work from factory wiring diagram books, I buy for
all my vehicles
You look at diagrams of the exact product your troubleshooting
How would you know anything at all without reference material?
Where would you put your volt meter test leads without a print
& a point on it you chose to start your voltage drops.
I would say in most cases the door panels have to come off,
to test switches & motors all within a reasonable time frame
Just walk the wiring diagram from the fuse
You either have battery voltage or you don't
Once the door panels come off you unplug &
power the motors direct to the battery, with a circuit
breaker you install in your made up test wiring, which
obviously has to be 12 feet long.

Neither lighter outlet works on my 01 allero, just bought it used so don't know if and when they did work! Help..need to charge stuff!!

You have options there. First use a test light and probe the center terminal of the outlet. If it has power, check the ground on the socket. If no power, check the fuse. (if you have no diagram, probe all of them and replace any that don't have power at both ends with the key on, and replace any that are blown. the one you are looking for is usually 20 or 25 amp). Your other option is to create a new circuit. To do that, find an open fuse port that only has power with the key on. attach a wire (close to 14 gauge is best) to a spade connector and plug it into the fuse connection that has power. Run that wire to the connector at the rear of the accessory port (lighter housing center post). If you do that, make sure you install an accessory fuse holder in that wire that is rated at 25 amps. I use that method to install additional ports so you don't have to plug in one of those "octopus outlets" in a working power outlet. Only difference is that I also install a new lighter housing into the dash. That requires a new hole in the dash or console and a ground wire to the outside of the housing.

I have good power and ground connections but the amp will not turn on.

Make sure the fuses aren't blown. There should be fuses on the amp itself and an in-line fuse in the live power wire near the car battery. If the fuses aren't blown, make sure the remote wire is connected from the head unit. Then re-check your power and ground connections. The ground should be solidly connected to the vehicle chassis in a paint-free location.

None of the power windows will work and no fuses are blown.....any help?

had the same problem there is a rubber gaurd inbetween the drivers side door hinge and the fuse panel. pull the rubber back and there will be a good chance ther will be broken wires. Strip the wires and connect them again with connectors. 90 percent of the time this is the problem.

I have no brake lights. I found a 20 amp fuse

First replace the fuse with a 12v light bulb. That way you don't waste money by blowing out fuses after another. Just keep the lightbulb in there while you look for the short. You start at the back. See which color wire is for the brake lights. You can also try unplugging the brake switch underneath. You will know if you had found the short because the light bulb will go out if you cut the power to the wire either by cutting or unplugging aconnector. Good luck. Ther is nothin wrong with cutting wires as long as you fix them back with good connection and well insulated with electrical tape or heatshrink tubing. Note that most shorts are caused by human error. For example rigging up things and not insulating the wires properly, or cross wiring something. Goodluck

Radio fuse has blown need to know which one it is

there should be a 'legend' on fuse box cover identifying locations specific to your model.blown fuses are readily identified when removed & inspected. after market radios usually have an 'inline' fuse on the power supply wire as well.

My 800 watt kenwood

Sounds like you shorted out the main power wire somewhere and killed the amp. Is the amp on the fuse intact or blown? Do you have 12 volts at the amp? check you connections and see if it helps.

Blown fuses

I used to have one of those amps also (nice amp btw) Did you try another fuse of the same size?
Is it blowing fuses everytime you put one in or did it just blow that one fuse ?
Is the conection on the battery solid and clean of corrosion build up? Because that is a good amp and if wired properly shouldnt blow out or anything and so if the speaker is not blown then maybe connection is weak somewhere? I would try disconnecting the speakers from it and try a new fuse and if it does not blow the new fuse than amp is ok? and if it does blow the new fuse right away then there must be a short somewhere in the wire or the amp. then disconnect the fuse again and reconnect the speakers and if the fuse blows with the speakers connected but doesnt blow with them disconnected then you know it is a blown speaker causing the problem.

Just currious but what size fuse do you have connected at the battery?
