Your touchpad driver is corrupted. Click on the link below and select your model number. Now, download the touch pad driver and then restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Your mouse pad will scroll again

If this seam to be not a issue from the setting ..just reinstall the driver for the mouse-pad..if you have it on disk ..if you do not have access on the drivers ..than try to restore the settings using the system restore..to an earlier date ..when you know for sure that the pad was working ...This way it will be ok ..and you will not loose time trying to figure out whats wrong ..
But just for your knowledge the issue is the windows automatic update system ..sometimes it installs update versions of drivers...or beta versions ..and they are not the best choices ..specially for windows seven ..always this kinda issues..
if you do not want to restore it ..or so ...you can try to get into device manager ...and than right click on the mouse pad...and properties..and driver ..and in there click roll back driver ...This action will reinstall the initial driver on it ..if it is available ..and make it work..
Anyway ..in the last resort ..I found a driver from the 3200 series..and it might work ..if you run windows XP

The touch pad will not scroll

Try going to Control Panel - Hardware and sound - mouse. Once you have the menu for the mouse open, go to device settings. Click settings, and all of the advanced controls for the functions of your mouse pad can be found there. Once in advanced settings, you should be able to enable the scroll function.

I can't use for scrolling up and down from the right side of mouse pad, how to setting it? thx

Sometimes there is a setting, under mouse, in the control panel. But also there is a time based issue, you need to stop while pressing in the scroll area, and the mouse shifts from mousing to scrolling. Duration of time, and first touch to the pad in the scroll area are keys.

Scroll bar on asus mouse pad not working

Try removeing any external devices and reboot the unit.
Next, look at your device manager for flags..
Remove any if shown in manager.
Restart the unit.
If you still don't have control of the scroll bar, try booting into safe mode and see if you have control their.
If you still do not have control of the scroll bar, try reloading the drivers for the mouse and touch pad.
Buy any chance do you have a mouse lock or switch on the unit that may be on.
I know, on the center of my touch pad, I have a switch to engage and dis-engagae.

My gateway scroll wont wor9

Scroll on mouse pad may not be a "default" factory setting. Go to Control Panel and access Mouse Settings and look for this feature and activate it.

If this does not work then go to Gateway Website and look for SOFTWARE AND DRIVER DOWNLOADS ., Select your model and Operating System and look for MOUSE. Select Moust Driver Download and RUN and reinstall driver.

If both do not work than your mouse pad has to be replaced due to physical issue

THE 4-way scroll button IN MY ASPIRE 5100 DOESNT WORK

Double click the icon in the toolbar. Click the device settings tab and then hit setting. select buttons in the list on the left side. Hit the plus sign(maximize) and select scroll up button action....scroll down button action...Etc. For each action select what you want it to do and just hit apply and move to the next. Once you have selected the action for scroll up, down , left, and right hit apply again just to be sure and try it. It should work. I just did it on my 5630 but Im assuming it works the same.
