Yes Mr.oktan Double-sided x16 DDR SDRAM DIMM is not supported.

It has Two 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets so it support

- 2.5V unbuffered PC1600 (DDR200), PC2100 (DDR266) or PC2700 (DDR333) DDR SDRAM DIMM

- Supports maximum of 2GB system memory using 64Mbit,128Mbit, 256Mbit or 512Mbit technology.

Good luck ! if you think your problem solved don't forget to rate

My System Model is : AWRDACPI Type : X86 base PC Processor type : Inter (R) Celeron (R) Speed : 2.00GHz Installed memory is 128 MB I do want to increase the physical mem, kindly tell me upto how much...

From the Intel spec sheet 4GB is supported:
The boards have four DIMM sockets and support the following memory features: • 2.5 V (only) DDR SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts • Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction: Double-sided DIMMS with x16 organization are not supported. • 4 GB maximum total system memory. Refer to Section 2.2.1 on page 55 for information on the total amount of addressable memory. • Minimum total system memory: 128 MB • Non-ECC DIMMs • Serial Presence Detect • DDR 400 MHz and DDR 333 MHz SDRAM DIMMs
If this answers your question, I'd appreciate 4 thumbs. I do this for fun and do not get paid.

    Will 1gb ddr2 800mhz ram support intel102ggc2

The board has two 240-pin DIMM sockets and supports the following memory features:
    • 1.8 V (only) DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
    • Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction: Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
    • 2 GB maximum total system memory
    • Minimum total system memory: 128 MB
    • Non-ECC DIMMs
    • Serial Presence Detect
    • DDR2 533 or DDR2 400 SDRAM DIMMs
    Note
To be fully compliant with all applicable DDR SDRAM memory specifications, the board should be populated with DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure. This allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately configure memory settings for optimum performance. If non-SPD memory is installed, the BIOS will attempt to correctly configure the memory settings, but performance and reliability may be impacted or the DIMMs may not function under the determined frequency.

My intel motherboard model no.is D845GVAD2 AND I WANT TO KNOW THAT HOW MUCH RAM IT SUPPORT

That motherboard has 2 DIMM sockets. Each socket is capable of handling up to 1 Gb of 2.5V 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMMs for a total of 2 Gb on the board. Please note that this board does not support double sided x16 DIMMs. Do NOT use ECC DIMMs on this board as it will cause damage.

I have a 838gm gateway,Ive tried to install 4gb of ram ,when I install more than 2gb,it will not boot

Gateway's website says this motherboard will support 4GB of DDR333 or DDR400 memory. I would suggest testing each memory modules by plugging it into the board by itself, then rebooting. This way you can catch a bad DIMM that might be causing problems. If each one checks out then start adding one module at a time, rebooting after each one. If it still stops booting after you add a module, you probably have a bad system board, and only now that you are adding the extra memory are you finding that out. If that is the case, try contacting Gateway support. Maybe they would be kind enough to cover repair under warranty.

    RAM cuantity

The motherboard you mentioned supports DDR1 RAM.

For windows xp and general application 512 MB is enough.
But if you use memory intensive applications like image/video editing then you can opt for 1-2 GB RAM.

    Upgrading RAM

Yes that should not be a problem as DDR is backward compatible with the slower speeds so the faster RAM, will just slow down to match. These are the only conditions listed so as long as the stick you have doesn't fall under this criteria you should be good.

he D845GLVA board provide the following memory features:
    • 2.5 V (only) 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
    • Unbuffered single-sided or double-sided DIMMs
    • Maximum total system memory: 2 GB; minimum total system memory: 64 MB
    • DDR266/200 MHz SDRAM DIMMs only
    • Serial Presence Detect (SPD)
    CAUTION:
Do not use ECC DIMMs with this board. Using ECC DIMMs could damage the board.
    Integrator's Notes:
    • Registered DIMMs are not supported.
    • Double-sided x16 DIMMs are not supported.
    • If a full-length PCI add-in card is installed in PCI bus connector 1 (the PCI bus connector closest to the processor), remove the add-in card before installing or upgrading memory to avoid interference with the memory retention mechanism.
    • This board has been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum onboard capacity of up to 2 GB, but this technology has not been validated (currently validated up to 1.0 GB) on this board.

    Note:
To be fully compliant with all applicable DDR SDRAM memory specifications, the board should be populated with DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure. This allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately configure memory settings for optimum performance.

    Enjoy the increase in RAM,
    Lee
