Question about Electrolux Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I have a Electrolux EXC643 Oven. When you turn on the oven, set to 200 deg C for example, the oven fan and light works, but the oven stay's cold. The circuit breaker has not been tripped, at any point. Could this be the heating element has lost continuity? I would expect the circuit breaker to have tripped, if this was the problem. Any thoughts?

Circular element is almost certainly open circuit. often the breaker will trip when element goes faulty but not always. take rear cover off and check for continuity

Oven would not light. I replaced the igniter and now it lights but it will not heat past 200 degrees. Is this the thermostat acting up or is this connected to the gas supply? Any suggestions??? My oven...

when you say now it lights. is just the ignitor lighting?or can you hear the gas flowing??? can you feel it heating at all?? should start at 100 degrees and climb up from there. no reason for it not to heat past 200 (unless set to Celsius which default setting of 350 =190degress) therefore will not heat past 200. and wont let you try to heat to 425 , that would be off the charts of Celsius conversion. sensor problem would eitherno t let stove come on or wouldnt stop from heating eitherway a code would come up in the display

Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

Hello stevefer
Welcome.

You said, Your Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

First,
1.What is the Model Number and the year of your wall oven?
2.Did the oven light up and display with any error codes?
3. Did you try to turn the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if this will reset the system?

Perhaps the heating element is failing and may need to be replaced.
I will be able to better assist you when you reply with this information.
Waiting your response.

Gas oven not heating

waka,

I'm guessing that there is an issue of some kind with flow of heat inside the oven. Gas ovens use the hot air/gas exhaust to heat up the oven. Flames mean heat. The flames should be about half an inch long or so. If not, there may be an issue, but I don't think that is it.

Have you lined the oven with foil? It is possible that vents from the boiler section are closed up? That will prevent heat from reaching the oven.
