2 Answers

I just bought a wd65838 and the store paired it with an panasonic dmp-bdt100p 3d bluray player. After watching half a movie i shut it off and returned to the tv mode, a couple of days later, iturned it on again and got blue screen then a black screen and then had to struggle to get it back to the input mode. after returning back to the blu ray mode i still got nothing no picture nothing could not bring up the menues in other words no feed from the player. went and got another from the store and it worked fine saw a whole 3d movie and it was great...next daysame thing no output from the bluray player... set it up on a non 3d television and it works fine...back to my mitsubishi and no feed to the tv... doyou know what gives? Now iam thinking its in the tv thanks.

I not only tried the same port but it would not ask me, NEW DEVICE FOUND, and I tried the bluray player on my flat screen and all the menues and the movies ran just fine. As I said this is the second player. So on Thursday they are going to be replacing the TV with a new one. I do thank you for your response jrileycub and I finally came to the same conclusion. Oh yeah, Ultimate Electronics, has been great to work with. A little pricey maybe but they have been very helpful, so a shout out to them also.

It would not surprise me if something is happening with the HDMI input. Since there is data information going to and from what ever is using that input. In this case the bluray player. Most of the time it is a software issue between different manufacturers that can corrupt data info and cause crazy things like this to happen. Since there is not a standard for HDMI software, it is a common thing for some equipment not to work or work well using HDMI. Particularly using different manufactures. Most of the time if you use the componet cables for video to your tv and run the audio via optical cable or rca cable to your amp or tv will cure your problem.
It will still show HD utilizing the component cables so you won't loose picture quality.
I hope this helps,

This is a hard one, Did you have the bluray in the same hdmi port both times? If so it might be caused by the hdmi port, if the port is bad (or sending a electrical issue) to the player. When you try it again use the component cords to connect the unit for the first few days, if no problems happen switch to hdmi cord. This will tell you if it is the hdmi port or the players. Good Luck

CAN THE panasonic dmp bd35 PLAY 3D BLU-RAY DISKS

I understand the DMP BD35 is a normal blue ray disk player and not a 3D. Please see this manual if you want to be doubly sure.

However something like a DMP BDT360 will play 3D blue ray discs and you can view it on a 3D ready TV.

I have a BDT100 Panasonic Bluray player that won't play bluray discs! Normal discs work perfectly. Any suggestions?

there are two lasers inside a blueray one for normal dvds and cd's and the other for blue ray films, either the laser lense is dirty or it has burnt itself out and will need replacing , if a clean doesnt get it working
