Yes this is an old fridg. There are thousands of them in the US being used as secondary cooler for pop, beer, ect. in garages. The problem is they don't ware out. The major problem is the cfc refigerant that was used is now outlawed, and they are not efficent by today's standards. For a little bit more of electric usage, and if it still works and , and it does it's job and you are happy keep it.
It will cost you more than it is worth to hall it away and do the reclmation of the cfc gasses even if it is an antique? Don't you wish they would make appliances today like GE did then?

Hope this helps you making a decision. If it was mine I'd keep it (if you have the room)

Toyota 300 vintage sewing machine - which belt.

The v belt will last much longer but you can use the round rubber stretch belt. If you want the v belt and you don't have the old one then sometimes if you use a thick string you can get close to the size of belt needed. Unfortunately there really isn't a set size for the belt. Every machine is different

Vintage unlisted model Milwaukee drill with frozen chuck.

on the bench drill ( drill stand ) if you see a long slot in the shafts when you pull the drill down all the way , the you will need a tapered bit of metal that fits in that slot
Drive the metal through so that it forces the chuck assembly out of the morse taper
You can get replacement units from any good tool shop

So I don't know just how old my detector is, so I was wondering, if it shows "Err" on it and even if it is say 6 or 7 years old, how do I know if it just outlived itself, or if I really have a...

the NFPA and usually the manufacture-er set replacement standards, a 6-7 year old CO detector isn't that old, but extremely important to be working and accurate, so in this case "when in doubt , throw it out" CO poisoning isn't pretty and can be deadly. Nighthawk is a really good brand. Good Luck
