I cannot download my pictures from my ge x500 camera to my windows 7 pc.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Hi, I own the Canon PowershotA540, recently I discoverd that once I put the SD card in my computer to download the pictures it downloads them, but once I put the card back into my camera all the pictures...

This sounds like the program you are using to download the pics is set to erase them from the card when the download is complete. You need to dig into the program and adjust the settings. That's as much as I can tell you since I don't know what program you're using. Your camera is fine.

Did not erase but since last night photo's on card have gone.

Did you copy them to your computer? In some cases, the computer will default to "moving" the pictures instead of copying. "Move" deletes the original after making the copy.

Your camera won't be able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try at www.download.com.

I have a red kodak easyshare MD1063 camerea and i cant upload my pictures because i dnt have the program on my computer. How can I download the program on line?

You should be able to just remove the memory card and put it in the computer to view and upload the pictures if you have an SD card slot. Otherwise you can go here to download the software if you're trying to use a usb cable...

You don't need any program. Just get yourself a card reader and download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. 224518b.jpg

You don't need to install anything in order to use your camera.

Can't download pickies to computer

Well if you pictures what you need to do is connect the camera to your computer and make sure the camera is on. A window should pop up asking what program you would like to open the pictures with. Just pick a program and uploaded the pictures. It's not hard.

Downloading problems

Fuji S5200/5600 are indeed pretty slow to download pictures when directly linked to a computer throught the USB port.
The only solution to speed up downloading is to remove from the camera the XD card and put it in a card reader provided with USB 2 interface.
Picasa, too, is not the fastest program to copy pictures on your PC. In my experience, XN View
(free) is faster than Picasa in copyng pics.
