My picture started flickering the other night while playing a game. Then I went to turn it on today and I can't get a picture, there is still sound however. Thinking maybe a video card problem or something...

Its sounds like a video cord problem, if you are hooked up by the yellow red and white cords to your TV, adjust them until the picture returns, its a VERY common problem on EVERY TV and console since the SNES. Could also be the plug on the back of the PS3 if you just play with the cords your problem should resolve.

Hello,

Try the game with another TV to see if you will have same problem. If you do not have that problem that means the TV you are using is faulty.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

Creative Zen M:vision - can't turn on/off, permanent blue light

Well, i didn't charge mine over night, was listening to it in the evening while doing some chores and all of a sudden it stopped playing, Blank screen and permanent Blue light. I tried to turn if off but it didn't respond so i left it. In the morning, it went off itself (guess the battery was low). So i connected to the computer and inserted the ZEN CD. As i was exploring the CD looking for a solution, then all of a sudden the screen came up with a note "Rebuilding..." after 5 secs it came on. With all my files intact! I hope this wud be helpful, You could give it a shot, after all there's nothing to loose!

SNES doesn't display?

The CIC chip, also known as lock out chip, may have gone bad. Here is a quote from a site I found.

"Every SNES control deck has a regional lockout chip (known as a CIC), as does every original SNES game cartridge. Before a game is loaded, the console will attempt to communicate with the CIC chip on the game cartridge. If the CIC chip doesn't respond or does not correspond with the consoles CIC, the console won't load the game. In most cases, a black screen is displayed."

Samsung SyncMaster 17" LCD Blacks out

If you have a second monitor, you could use your computer until the monitor goes black... then plug in a replacement monitor. My guess is that one will display black too...

My gut feeling is that your VGA card is on the fritz... I'm not convinced it's your monitor. Do you have a replacement VGA card you can try? I'll bet that'll take care of the problem.
