Question about Denon S-32 Shelf System

Open Question

I have a Denon S-32 WiFi radio that also plays MP3 music from my D-Link DNS-321 NAS (network attached storage) via the UPnP AV Server in the NAS. Everything works as advertised except that the unit will not execute playlists correctly. The Denon appears to accept only .m3u playlists, but regardless of the track order, the playlist will always execute in alphabetical order. The unit also ignores the encoded MP3 track order and plays music within folders in alphabetical order as well. The Denon microprocessor has been reset using the procedure listed in the manual and the unit has the most recent firmware. Interestingly, resetting the processor fixed the problem with 'favorites' not being saved.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Denon UDM3 SHELF SYSTEM

Hi MadLad,

There are several things to consider re this fault.....

Normally on small systems there is a selector switch to allow you to select what you need to listen to...for example if you want to play a CD then you select the CD mode, insert the CD push play and away it goes....

In your case you need to select Radio, or maybe select AM or maybe select FM, one of these should be accessed from a digital read out menu where you select your requirements.

Please have a good look at the operating manual to see if you can work out how to select the required listening mode, and you will be sweet...

Cheers From YUBEUT

You can try a couple of things, easy thing is to reset the NAS server by unplugging it and allowing it release its leased IP address, assuming that it is setup for DHCP. Once this is reset it should grab another IP address. If you remenber setting it up for a static IP, then you could do a google search for an IP scanner http://www.radmin.com/products/utilities/ipscanner.php or find one that you are comfortable with download and install look for device on your network that will give you your IP to the NAS server. Good luck

I try to connect DLINK dns 323 to WD TV by USB cable but it not work how can i solve this

The USB port on the D-Link DNS 323 NAS is for a printer only. It won't work with your WD TV. Your best bet would be to plug the WD TV into a PC that is connected to your network along with the D-Link DNS 323 NAS and serve your media files that way.

Ftp and upnp problems with dns-323

Try to do the following:

1. Login to your DNS-323 in the same network
2. Make sure FTP is turned on and a user is configured to perform FTP to it
3. Ftp to your DNS-323 using the admin account

If this still does not work, read up on Fonz's fun_plug application and install it. This should let you access the linux firmware in the 323 for troubleshooting. Be aware that you need to know linux before you attempt to do this as you may brick your 323 if you are not careful.
