On some models the pan is made on the bottom of the compressor. the heat from it evaporates the water. if its cool in your house it may not get hot enough to do that so this could be where it is coming from.
keep a eye on the temp for a week or two in the fridge part. make sure its not warming up inside. if it seems to be fine your ok.

Water leaking under fridge

a contant runing of water is most likely a leak in the ice maker supply hose , an intermitant drip of water is a drip pan thats full in bottom of fridge (closest to floor ) this water comes from the auto defrost cycle most times this water evaporates away , but as fridge gets older it makes more frost that needs melted hence more water ,sometimes it over comes the pan and runs to floor , a good flashlight and getting down to look underneath usually tells you source of leak

Have you checked to see if your condensation tray is too full? The tray will be located at the bottom of the fridge and should slide out easily.

older fridges drained water into a pan with the compressor in it, thus cooling the compressor and evaporating the water, this is located at the bottom back of the fridge. if this fridge has a water and/or ice dispensor, the water could be leaking from many a place.

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. The pan will continue to have water in it. The defrost system water drips in the pan where it is evaporated by the condenser fan blowing on it.
Does this pan overflow? Is the water on the floor coming from this pan? Or could it be coming from the water inlet valve where the water supply comes in? Does the water come out the freezer or fridge door at the bottom?

Do I need to empty the water from my drip pan

the pan is there to catch condensation from the compressor during the refridgeration cycle. the water build up to me indicates one of two things. Either the refrigerant level is low and it is freezing up then thawing, or if you have ice or water dispencer it could have a leak in the line. the only thing other than that is a leak in the magnetic door seal or other insulation causing condensation. hope this helps

Water collecting in bottom of freezer coming from back grill.

To poshodian: There are a few more posts about this problem. Of course, in order to fix it, you have to remove the panel hiding the condenser coils behind the grill and showing the drain hole.

This is what I just posted on one of them:

I’ve had my Maytag 2454 fridge for 8 years. But only this week did the same problem show up as cathy824 and lew223. When I poked a drink stirrer into the top of the drain hole, it was hard as a rock. Not knowing why condensate from the coils was not draining into the hole and tubing that would empty the water into the pan evaporator on the bottom of the fridge, I took everything apart in the back and messed around with the black rubber elbow at the other end of the drain plug. I shouldn’t have bothered, because what I finally did was to pour boiling, boiling hot water over the drain hole to melt the ice and gunk that was frozen solid in the drain tubing. While I was doing that, I poked the stirrer into the hole, washing the gunk down the drain and into the very dry evaporator pan. Keep pouring hot water into the drain hole until you’re satisfied that water can flow freely into the pan.

That solved the problem of condensate water freezing on the bottom of the freezer and running onto the kitchen floor. Thanks to lew223 for the fix! The fridge should be good for another 8 years now.

We were able to fix the freezer water leak. We unscrewed the false freezer floor and the inside back panel. Ice had accumulated on the freezer floor and the defrosting drain was frozen. We removed the ice by using a blow dryer then poured boiling hot water onto the frozen drain hole. The frozen water in the drain pipe hole eventually melted and the water released into the defrosting drip pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. Problem solved. We no longer have water leaking into the refrigerator.
