Hi,

I got your issue, If you want to log into 192.168.0.1 , make sure that the computer is online wired or wireless with your router, then try to open the page using http://192.168.0.1. If still its not opening the page then follow these steps,

1. Click on start--> Go to all Programs--> Accessories--> select command prompt

2. You will get a black window, which is the command prompt and you will find a small cursor blinking there you type in "ipconfig" (without cotes) and then hit enter.

3. Check what is the IP address/ IP v4 ipaddress , which must be in the range 192.168.0.x

4. Then in the next line type "ping 192.168.0.1" (without cotes) then it will give you reply 4 times and with the ping statistics Packets send=4, Received =4, lost =0.

5. Then type in the next line "start iexplore 192.168.0.1" then you will get Dlink router setup page opened.

Good Luck!

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Prema.

How to find lost password for access

It is not likely you will be able to recover the password if the individual who implemented it is unavailable to provide it. Your only alternative is to factory reset the device according to the manual and then put in the necessary settings required. The default username and password for this device is easily found in the users manual for the device, found here:

Lost my 10 digit network password

You will need to login to the router. go into wireless setup then security. Based on your router either it will show you the key or you will have to create a new key.

if you don't know how to access your router
via a windows based computer...
open up the command prompt or CMD usually found in programs or accessories.
type in ipconfig and press enter. it will display a IP, subnet and gateway addresses the string is something along the lines on 192.168.1.1 what ever the gateway is type the string of numbers into your web browser without the www.

Cannot access a site although have put in browser, to acitvate it, have been having error page 403, gone into browser but still will not allow access to stite requested.

HTTP Error 403 is an error message which means that you are not authorized to view the web page which you are attempting to load. Usually, the HTTP error 403 - Forbidden means that access to the file/folder you are trying to open has been denied, either on intention or owing to a configuration anomaly. You could attempt using a proxy website if the access is blocked intentionally.

Since installing a new router, it will not let us access msn yahoo, or youtube, it knocks us off within seconds, it is exactly the same router as before just a newer one, on the old one we had no problems...

It sounds like you have more than one issue going on. One possible issue with the yahoo and msn messenger could be that you have port/app filtering enabled. In order to fix this, you must go onto your router's configuration (the webpage for its settings), and go check the Port/Application & Gaming filter area to see if any ports are not permitted (since I don't know exactly what router you have, I can't tell you exactly what to go to, but I can give you a general idea of what to look for). If that is the case, simply disable the port filters, and save your settings. If that doesn't fix the problem, then make sure that use don't have parental controls, or Access policies enabled that deny you from using those applications. The youtube problem sounds like a different problem all together. It could be anything from a bad internet connection, to slow internet, to a setting on your browser preventing it from working. My suggestion for that would be to try to access other websites using your same web browser, and then try to access youtube from a different web browser. If you can access youtube from another web browser, but can access the other pages from the first web browser, your problem may be in the browser with that specific page. On the other hand, if you can access youtube, and cannot access any webpage on the first browser, there probably a problem with that browser in general. If you cannot access youtube with either, but can access other websites, then its probably not you browser.
If you still have a problem after following these steps, I would recommend contacting your ISP, or having someone come and look at your network in person.

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

Blekins wireless g router- remote access trouble

You may have inadvertently configured the IP addressing by accident. If you are running Windows, open a command prompt by going to Start-Run and type cmd and click OK. A black box will appear on your screen. You need to type ipconfig, and press Enter. You will get 3 numbers. You want the result from the default gateway. Write down the IP address of the default gateway, and then enter it into your web browser. This will get you to a login prompt for the Belkin.

Please let me know if you would like further assistance with this matter. Thank you.
