Car stereo sanyo fxd mp690

Hi I have a sanyo car stereo fxd mp690. I am unable to get it going again since my battery went flat. I can not find my user manual, but I am pretty sure I never saw a code in it anywhere when I first read it. The electrician that put the stereo in said that I will definately need a code to get it going again.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks, Bronnie.

I have not had to use a code when battery disconnected from CD, just had to retune station memories when reconnected.

Battery went flat alarm does not work ,how do i reset

unplug the battery for about 15 minutes and hook it back up again... that should reset the alarm. if there is an anti-theft code for your stereo ... make sure you know it and how to enter it.

I changed the car battery after it went flat , and the car radio and casset are not working , so if anyone can help me to find the security code no. plzzz that will be great. thanks

Is it a factory stereo system? If so you need to take photo ID, registration, and title to your car to the dealership. They'll use that info to look up the code for your stereo based on the VIN number of the vehicle. Make sure they give it to you written down and don't just enter it, so if you lose power again, you won't have to go back. This matters, because they can charge up to an hour's labor to do this for you.

Code for car stereo

These security codes are protected legally, as they serve anti-theft purposes. You will need to contact the manufacturer, a dealer, or an authorized repair/service center to request assistance with obtaining the necessary code. They will also likely ask for some proof of purchase to ensure the legitimacy of the transaction.

Please post back if you need further assistance, otherwise thank you for using and rating FixYa!
