Yes you can get the regulators rebuilt. It is odd that they or it had to be repalced. I would check to see if the warrenty might cover it.

Hope this helps, Matt

ok you need to unclip the spacebar carefully take off the rubber and replace with one from another keyboard use rubber solution to bond it in place making sure that the center on the board and rubber pad are free from dirt or glue, a good place to dource the rubber pad from is old mobile phone keypads or old childs toys with rubber buttons one of those cut to size and glued to under side of spacebar would be perfect, hope this helps and good luck.

How long should high quality exercise bands last for?

If the exercise band is made of high quality rubber, then it will last for at least six months if taken care properly. There's a good chance that it will last for longer than that.

I think the age of the bike gives a clue to what might be wrong. I'm guessing that either the rubbers on the vacuum carb slides have gone bad or the intake manifolds are old and cracked, or both. At any rate they are worth a good check. Be very careful if you have to remove the carb rack there are some delicate and expensive fuel feeder tubes between the carbs that are easily broken.

Dear Sirs: We have a Sea Quest Side Draft on which the one-way valve just below the mouth has for some reason distorted, hard, and brittle. Is a replacement available? It's like a thin dime sized disk of...

Silicone rubber does that with age. You can slow down the process by washing the snorkel in fresh water after use and storing it in a cool dark place, but you cannot prevent it.

Spare purge valves simply are not available. Although they are a very cheap item, Aqua Lung (SeaQuest) would rather sell you a complete new snorkel. Most other manufacturers take the same view. It's not entirely unreasonable either: by the time that the valve has hardened, the silicone mouthpiece will be past it's best and the breathing tube itself may have weakened to the point where it will become soft on a hot day and could collapse inwards when you inhale. In addition, the cost of distributing individual purge valves in umpteen different sizes (they are not standardised) would be prohibitive and then the retailer would need to do the same with every brand sold. Each cheap diaphragm would be a lost profit opportunity, and when many dive-shops are already clinging on to survival each sale is a nail in their coffin.

Snorkels are cheap: just buy another is the best option, but if you're a lateral thinker it's usually possible to fabricate your own spare part by cutting it from an old bicycle inner tube or even from balloon rubber; just be careful with how you fasten it as a poor design can result in small parts being inhaled if they break loose.
