With a little research and some gnashing of teeth I was able to fix my issue. I replaced "TV2" that was working fine with a new model 32" Insignia LED. You must have your "TV2" dish remote programmed to the insignia TV in order to operate the TV. Don't go to the Dishnetwork site to get instructions for they are not very clear. On the Dish Remote, press and hold TV mode until all mode lights are lit, then let go of the TV mode button and it should be blinking, then press in one of the following codes followed by the # sign. 834, 538, 720, 566, 533, 751, 007, 552, 636. Mine worked with 834. The TV mode button should blink 3 times and then off and if it does not, try a different code. Then try the power button on the dish remote. All settings on your Satellite receiver should stay the same, however, you need to locate the channel number on your dish receiver in order to get the channel to tune your "TV2" to. Go to "TV1" with the "TV1" remote and press "menu", then "6", then "1" and then "5". the screen will show the "TV2" OUT channel. That is the channel you need to tune "TV2" to. Go back to "TV2" and tune to that channel and set the "TV2" remote to SAT. Now with your actual TV remote, run scan on SAT and COAX. The key with me was getting the "TV2" remote to operate the new TV. Hope this helps.

I'm hooked up tp Dish Network an hit wrong button on top for volume and now pic is gone. in lower left corner says no signal., but dish is working, just no picture on screen

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. It sounds like you are going to need to change your TV back to the proper input or channel. If the TV remote is not working to change the channels you can also use the buttons on the front of the TV. First look for a button listed as either input, TV/video, source or AUX. When you press this button it will start cycling through all the inputs available, make sure to cycle through them slowly because it make take a couple seconds for the picture to come in. If you do not find a picture on any of the inputs you are going to need to try the different channels. Normally for a TV where the receiver box is the TV should be set to channel 3 or 4. Once you have found your DISH Network picture you will want to make sure to push the SAT button on the DISH remote so that it doesn't change the TV channel again. I hope you find this information useful and if you have any further questions or concerns please let me know. Thanks. :)

What channel does the tv have to be on - I have dish network - do I leave the dish off or on and move it to a certain channel?

First check what channel or input your TV is currently on bypowering the TV off then back on and noting the channel or input that appearson screen when the TV is powered on. If you are using a Coax Cable toconnect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver's back panel for the outputname. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out" (non-ViPReceiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it has"Home Distribution" output (ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 62or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, or HDMI) to connectreceiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until picture appears. In your casesince you have the Toshiba XDE500 connected between the receiver and TV, tuneTV and component to channel 3/4 (coax) or correct input. Hope this helps, andhank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Cannot get a clear picture with dish network I have a Clear picture when using DVD

Sometimes the input/channel for the DISH Network and the DVD are different, and if using the same for both, then you will get an unclear picture on one. If at TV1, the tv will need to be on channel 3 or 4, and possibly an input such as video 1 or 2. The DVD player may be on a different input, such as video 3, or even just on channel 3 only. If at TV2, the tv needs to on channel 60 or 73. When using the DVD, try putting the tv on channel 3 or 4, that is normally the channel that the tv needs to be on. Also, make sure that the DVD player is not on while you are trying to watch just the dish.

I have Dish network. I want to record TV onto the VCR, but cannot get channels to record. i can playback videotapes and the record works, but cannot figure out how to get the signal to record.

The output of the Dish Network box should be hooked to the input of the VCR.
The output of the VCR should be hooked to the input of the TV.
The VCR should be on channel 3 to record. Select channel to be recorded on the Dish Network box.

It sounds like you have Dish Network box output hooked to TV input.
& VCR output hooked to an aux. input on the TV.

Will the standard coaxial cable input on a Sanyo DP19649 accept the 480i digital output from "TV2" of a DISH network ViP722K satellite box?

This will absolutely work!!! You will just want to make sure that your tv is set to channel 60 or 73.

I got dish net work installed yesterday and it worked fine but when i turned the tv on the next day it was nothing but static and i cant figure out how to fix it so whats wrong and how can i fix it?

Guest,

The static you are getting on your TV is because the TV is not on the correct channel or input setting. With the 311 receiver, there is either a coax or an RCA cable (yellow, white, red) going from the receiver to the TV. If you have a coax cable, the TV should be on channel 3 or 4 (usually channel 3). With the RCA cable, the TV should be on an input setting. You'll need to go through your input settings until you find the picture. Of course your DISH receiver needs to be powered on. I hope this helps.

I have recently switched to a Dual receiver from Dish network...I have a coax connection to my Sony but cannot find the way to change the input to find the signal from the coax cable. The TV will not take...

We would be happy to help get that fixed right away. Thefirst thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on. Since we know you are using a coax cable to connect the receiver toTV1, check the receiver's back panel for the output name. If your receiver hasa "TV CH 3/4 out":Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "Home Distribution": TuneTV to channel 62 or 75. We also want to ensure that the TV and thereceiver are connected properly, please visit this link to for moreinformation: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-totv.Once we have made sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still notgetting a picture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the sameTV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. If youget a picture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474)for some additional troubleshooting. If it doesn't work with the othercomponent then replace the cable that was used.

We hope these steps resolve the issue. We want to thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!

No antenna tv signal

Your dish remote should be set to the code for your TV. Then you will be able to control the channel number, not just up/down, as well as volume and maybe even the input. But do try to get a real remote for your TV so you can get to its menus.
Meanwhile, use menu+menu to see the channel being output by the Dish receiver. (Must be a 622/722... based on the 60 you listed.) Try to find an unused UHF channel number that your set does have in its up/down list. Match Air/Cable setting of Dish and TV. The Dish output is analog (NTSC) although the tuner(s) only accept digital (ATSC).

White screen with dish network

This is an ancient message so you have probably long since found your problem.
There may be additional input settings to be made since it sounds like the set isn't seeing any input. If you are using the cable input on both the receiver and TV, you will have to set the TV to channel 3 or 4 to see the output of the Dish receiver.
There are three common ways to connect; via the familiar cable in/outputs, S-video with a separate audio cable, and possibly DVI. The TV's input may not search for and find the right input since many sets have a setting via their menu to force the set to look at a specific input.
It helps to have both the Dish manual and the set's manual side-by-side.
