WHY DOES MY ALPINE CDA-9811 STAY ON EVEN AFTER THE KEY IS TURNED OFF AND REMOVED? THE DECK CAME IN THE TRUCK I JUST PURCHASED.

The wires on the deck are not connected right. for the positive wires one is constant and the other is for memory. someone wired both to constant power not switched. hope this helps please rate.

Alpine cda9811 powers off when car is running but works fine with key backwards


is the radio the only thing being powered, do you have amps and or subs if so I would assume that your radio is not powerful enough for the added wattage, if you dont have neither of the two you have a shortened ground trace all grounds. 2_18_2014_5_19_28_pm.jpg

Hooking up an ipod


Are you sure you are using the audio input wires and not the audio output wires on the back of this radio. there is also an input switch you need to set before the Ipod will work

My cd player turns off and then on randomly


this specific model alpine was famous for that pull the radio out and check the red yellow and black wire were they go into the harness on the back of the radio sometimes the pins in the harness loosen up

Alpine cda-9811 is not accepting amp as external amplifier?


The signal should go from the head unit to the amp to the subs. Someone must not have wired the subs correctly through the amp, or amp to the cd player..

Setting time on clock


Press "Title" until time is displayed. Then press and hold "Title" for a few seconds until time is displayed. Turn the silver knob to change the hour, after hour is set, press the silver knob to activate minutes. Turn sliver knob to change minutes. Press silver knob to end.
