I hit the chain-link fence, and the thing quit. But, there is still power going to it - i can hear and feel it it wanting to go. Took apart the two-piece cover, but could not see anything obvious.

Hi. It all depends on the Lawn trimmer. What brand is it? You can go back where you purchased the Lawn trimmer and ask them for an attachment blade to use for trimming hedges (did you mean hedges as in edges?). If they have blades specifically for your trimmer then you can do best if you have it attached to the trimmer by them experts. Otherwise if you do it yourself and it's not attached to the trimmer properly, and it comes off while spinning at high speed, you'd better run for your dear life, man! Hedge blades, like the one I have on my trimmer, are subjected to strenuous work and can come lose if not attached properly. The main part is that you treat hedge blades with care when doing the changes yourself. I am not saying that the blade which is similar to a saw blade, could come lose and separate itself from the shaft and fly towards you, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Poorly attached blades do come lose and fly like a flying saucer spinning and whirling in all direction like a yo-yo. Cheers

Echo hsc 225 hedge trimmer throttle sticks

I would suspect a defective throttle valve ( carb ) try this, three screws on top ( by throttle valve ) loosen them slightly and see if this frees up. If not find a dealer and get a new carb. You now know what damages ethanol causes.

I need a primer bulb for a CRAFTSMAN GAS HEDGE TRIMMER model 358795660. Sears doesn't sell just the primer bulb. You have to buy the entire carburetor. Can you find me just the bulb?

As far as I can tell your machine has a Zama carburetor on it. The Zama part number is 0057025. Any small engine repair shop that deals with two stroke engines can get you one. You can get it online but the price for the bulb is about $1.50 and the shipping would be around $3.00. I would check with your local dealer first.

I have a gas hedge trimmer. The buble is not

if the bubble pumps/pushes hard then you need to clean out the hose and carburetor,if it pushes very easy theres a pin hole in the line or a hose is off on the primer line to the carb
