Question about SVP FS1000 Film Scanner

Open Question

I just bought a SVP FS1880. The 35MM film strip will not feed into the scanner. It starts to feed properly then seems to jam before even one frame gets to the scanning window but will release the film with no difficulties. What could be the problem and how do I prevent it from happening in the future?

If you switch off the scanner you should then be able to remove the grey film holder, even though the film strip will still be inside. Then, press the small button above the film entry slit to open the front of the holder. Pull up the top cover, ease the bright metal holder strip forward then lift the metal flap that holds down the film strip. At this point you should be able to remove the film strip. Re=assemble and try again.
Good luck.

I just bought a svp ps9000. Not knowing it was window based. Can I get it to work on my Mac?

As far as I can see this Scanner is not compatible with the Mac so I doubt you will be able to find the software you require. Sorry.

If you have just bought it take it back to the shop in the pristine condition and ask for your money back.
