Our patio heater only stays alight on level one. if we move it to heat level 2 or 3 the same as level one

If the patio heater has push button settings the problem may be due to worn seals in the valve, if it has a rotor valve then try clearing out the mantle. Water sitting in the mantle will cause low flames, tipping it (switch off first) will tell if you have water in the pipes. If all else fails found this site very useful patio heater problem solving.

MY ENDERS PATIO HEATER i CAN GET TO PILOT ON, BUT WHEN i TURN THE VALVE TO TURN IT ON, IT DOESN'T TURN ON

Most likely cause will be a worn thermocouple, these can last from 1 year up to 5 years but will at some point need replacing. Always check for leaks when making any repairs, found this site very helpful patio heater problem solving.

I have a giordano heater that won't light. There is a narrow pipe that diverts gas to the igniter spark. The pipe is capped by a small metal regulator with what looks like a very small hole in it to...

Never drill or try to make the pilot hole larger, this will cause a large flame that cannot be controlled. Check the main parts, first see if you have a spark, next check for leaks, to see how to do a leakage test see patio heater problem solving page. If no leak try changing the thermocouple, these will wear out and can last up to 6 years. Also check the electromagnetic valve that sits inside the gas control valve and if fitted check the tilt switch works. The tilt switch can be shorted out to see if it works.

I have an RTA International Patio Heater, Model 385.001 with a clogged pilot light valve. I need a way to fix the problem or a new replacement part. I have a commercial gas heating repair company working...

Gas Valves are not meant to be repaired only replaced. So I would have them replace the part and have them warranty there work. If the heater is very old and the replacement part is going to be half the cost of a new one You might want to put that Money on a new one and get a New manufactures warranty in the deal. Just another point of view....... Hope this helps

Will lite but goes out within a min

Make sure the thermocouples not fully engulfed in flame, it needs to be on;y at the tip end as they operate via temperature differential acrosss the thermocouples surface, if the whole thinfs one temp it drops out electrically(makes 30 millivolts) and the electromagnetically operated pilot safety valve closes, thus stopping the main burners operatin as its sensing no pilot exists. try a new thermocouple, about 15 bucks, and set it as described in pilot flame, if that wont do it, the gas valves bad.

The gas bottle is on and but there is no gas getting to to the patio heater.

regulator maybe frozen if its cold there. if so take it off and thaw it out inside for awhile, no hot water om it only creates more issues later!! if you are hooking it to a BBQ tank that has a new Qcc1 valve you have toopen the valve on the tank very slow when you have it hooked up or it slugs off. hope this helps, you also may have a blocked pilot orifice or other issues hard to fix without seeing it and little info..

Patio heater won't lite

There is possibly a spider web or wad of web blocking the gas flow between the valve and pilot.Take the line off between the valve and pilot and blow it out with compressed air and it should fix the problem.

Problem getting patio heater to light

the little tube that is in the path of the flame is a capillary tube that houses a thing called a j-k thermocouple. it is nothing more then a millivolt generator that produces a very small dc voltage that actuates a very small electromagnet in the main valve. when you start the unit you need to push in a button, correct? when you release the button the valve should stay open, but you say it doesn't. the millivolt generator needs to be replaced. try doing a search for "dynaglow" heaters or www dot desatech dot com for a new generator.

Pilot light lit but no heat

the pilot's millivolt generator may be at fault.  if you have a meter that is capable of measuring a very small DC voltage, connect it up to the very end of the thermocouple and the copper cappillary. the thermocouple has a welded bead at the very end inside that generates a small DC voltage. Same principle of a J-K thermocouple. Iron constintan  - two dissimiller metals where joined together produce a voltage when heated.  the thermocouple actuates a millivolt electromagnet inside the valve to keep the valve pellet open.  no voltage there it won't actuate the electromagnet.
