SOURCE: pioneer cmx 3000 display problem

Hi, there is a fuse blown in the drive unit , it is a 315mA small fuse (that looks like a brown color resistor ) in the -40Volt line .
It is located on the smaller pcb where the cinch plugs are located .
If You are not a technician find one and tell him this info
I just repaired one today with this problem .
Good luck , Wim ( Belgium)

Can be Power supply or CMX PCB. If CMX the printer will need to be re-flashed after replacing, there is no reasonable way to figure out which is the problem without replacing them.

My pioneer cmx 3000 does not control speed correctly and produces draging audio out put

If your using burned CDs try burning them at lower speeds lower then 24x like 4x,8x,16x also try different brand disc. It's a common problem with poor quality discs and burn speeds higher then 24x

Pioneer cmx 3000 controller problem The unit powers up but the displays do not light up and if you press any buttons all that happens is another button lights up. It has no control of the main unit....

Check the fuses in the main unit. The fuses looks like a resistor, but are marked with "IC" on the print.IC207 (1,5A) and IC209 (315mA) are the one I found to be faulty in a CMX3000 I fixed.
