On your desktop? if the icons are small, then Right Click on the desktop select Properties, At the top, Select Settings, from here you can adjust the Screen Resolution rate. Lower the numbers the icons get bigger, Higher the number Icons get smaller.

hope this is what you meant in your question.

You have most likely zoomed out and you will need to zoom into into to view font the normal size.

there shoud be a plus and minus button on laptop keyboard, with a small magnifying glass image on it!...+ is to zoom in and - is to zoom out.

hope this helps

Change resolution tex ton my computer letters are small i couldly read them

if you want to magnify the screen to see small letters, try this : hold CTRL key and press the +/= key (near the backspace key) to magnify the whole screen, and CTRL -/_ key to make it smaller again.

more permanent solution is to right click anywhere on your desktop background where there are no icons, and set your video properties to something smaller like 800x600, or 1024x768, yours is probably higher like 1680x1050 ....

or with windows 7, just right click anywhere on your desktop background where there are no icons, and click "personalize". then click on where it says "display" on the left side of the window, and change the setting from smaller to medium or larger.

you can change these settings anytime you like, so try these solutions until you find a combination that works the way you want it to look.

did that help?

Printer is not printing, the power light is on, the other lights are off. I click print on the soft ware, properties and other relavant alustments and no response.

I had a hp printer that didnt want to print I found out that if one of the ink cartridges is empty it wouldnt print. I needed to print a letter in black ink so I had to trick out the cartridge by putting black electrical tape over the small site glass(plastic) so the printer thinks it is full, after this the printer would at least print the letter

hope this helps

Drive does not show up on my computer. How do i see the drive. It is plugged into power and to a usb port

Is the drive already formatted? Or does it contain files already? Most probably, you just need to assign a drive letter to your usb drive.

If you are using Windows, right click on My Computer and then click Manage. Under Storage, click Disk Management. Locate your USB drive ( you can identify if its your drive by checking on the properties. Just right click on the drive and click Properties.

To change or assign a drive letter, right click on your USB drive and then choose Change Drive letter and Paths. You have the option to Add, Change.

How do I change the default paper size from Letter to A4 in my HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless?

Don't set by using the "Print" option.
Go to [Start]
[Printers and Faxes]
right-click on the HP Printer entry
! Don't select "Printing Preferences"! from there
Select [properties]
Select [Advanced] tab
Select [Printing Defaults]
(I know, the screen looks the same, but it functions differently this way)
Change paper size to "Letter"
[OK, OK, OK]

Lettering too small

to change the lettering of titles, right click on the desktop and click properties and then go to appearance. to change the font of a webpage, hold down the Ctrl button and use the scroller on the mouse to scroll up to make it bigger, or down to make is smaller. (*Note- I use Firefox, and I do not know what to do on Internet Explorer. I am assuming it would be the same for Safari. I do not know about Google Chrome or any other browsers)

I just recently bought a Samsung 245BW monitor and am having problems getting the right setting. It looks OK, but I know it could look a lot better. I tried playing with different resolutions, contrast and...

1. Right-click on the Desktop.

2. Choose "Properties" from the Shortcut menu that appears.

3. Click on the Settings tab at the top of the Display Properties window.

4. Under Settings is a list or a scroll bar (depending on your Windows version) containing available screen resolutions. Click on or use the slider to select the resolution you want.

Lower resolutions will display larger letters and icons, while higher resolutions display smaller letters and icons on your desktop.

5. Click "Apply", then "OK".

6. You'll have fifteen seconds to decide if the new screen resolution looks good or not. If you like the way the screen looks, click "Yes"; otherwise, click "No" and go back to step 4 for a different resolution. (If you can't see the screen at all, Windows will automatically revert to your original settings after fifteen seconds.)

7. Click "OK".
