Question about Canon PIXMA MP810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

The printer has been sitting idle for about a year, all the cartridges are full but it will not print - the pages just come out blank. I can see some very faint impressions as you may see if the cartridges were empty.

Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached.

To reattach the cartridge check the following steps :

turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head.

Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report.

Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

Try disconnecting power completely, not just turning off. Wait a few minutes and reconnect to power

Also, your print queue may be full with failed attempts at printing. The printer becomes confused and does not know what to print next. You should be able to flush the queue at the computer, but the complete disconnect and reconnect may accomplish this

HP Photosmart C4580 has been sitting a while, has full ink cartridges, spools document and behaves as though printing, but delivers blank page. Any suggestions?

If ink cartridges aren't brand new there is a possibility they have dried out.
If they are new though, the print heads are dried and need replacing in which getting a new printer is cheaper.

My printer has an error showing when I try to print a word document it prints one line then stops printing but keeps sending blank pages through the printer

There is a drip well beneath where the ink cartridges normally sit when the printer is idle. If this has an accumulation of ink, it will often cause a malfunction. Clean the drip well out with a paper towel and retry.

Printer/copier has been idle for about 3 years as we were out of the country. Now I cannot get it to copy documents

If it goes through all the motions like its making a copy but the page is blank you need a new print head or cradle with new ink cartridges. Ink printer do not like to sit for long periods. It will cost about 60.00 from canon. Steven 818-888-0006

Does not print, printer head moves across the print but only black pages i only get blank pages. all the ink cartridges are full

Has the printer sat for a while without printing? Are you using a refill kit or new cartridges?

An ink cartridge will dry-up if it sits for two long. When this happens the computer will read that they are full, but in reality they are bad.

If you are using a refill kit to refill them then they are likely clogged (common problem with refilling). You can try cleaning the cartridges where they meet the paper, with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.

Most likely the cartridges need replaced.

The cartridge is moving like it is printing. But

make sure that the ink cartridge is full and is securley snapped into place. If you have alreayd checked that then chances are the printing head of your printer is damaged or the motor that move sthe printing head is damaged. Call the manufacturer and demand that you get a replacement printer (asumming that the one you have is under warranty).

Page blank when printed

remove the ink cartridges and use a qtip dipped in rubbing alcohol and GENTLY clean the printhead on the cartridge. Reinsert and try printing again. If it prints anything at all, keep going till it becomes normal. If still nothing, replace the ink cartridges.

Hp4650 printing BLANK pages

Try printing a configuration page to see if that comes out. If it does then you might have a print driver problem. Also try printiing a test page from the printer properties on that printer.

Check that the cartridges are seated correctly. Also clean the contacts in the casing that the copper portion of the cartridge sits against.
