Hi--I've got the same model, but it's behaving like there's an unbalanced load, shimmying all around the floor, & damaging the wall behind...do you know if there is a selection for different sized loads, ie a small load...can't see that wording on the panel; did you get your problem sorted? The manual is not much help, is it...thanks. Maria.

GFWH1200DWW GE front load washer won't unlock red lock showing

From an article I found online:

See if manually opening the door will reset everything. Unplug the washer and remove the lower front panel like you're going to clean out the drain catch. Once you remove this panel you can reach up behind the upper front panel and pull down on the small plastic pull tab attached to the bottom of the door lock assembly. This will manually unlock the door so you can open the door.

Now once you have the door open, plug the washer back in and see if you can start another cycle.

The door is open on my ge front load washer but it says it is locked. Door wont close and I cant get anything to work. I tried shutting off the power for about 5 minutes and this did not help.

You should be able to access the door lock from the bottom panel. Unplug the machine and open bottom panel reach up on the side of the lock. It should have a tab or pull hanging down that takes a little pull to unlock it. Do that and see if it'll unlock. If not you might just have to buy a new door latch/lock.

GE model WHDVH626FWW Front load washer won't run, can't open door

your drain pump is likely clogged, and is equipped with a clean out port. remove lower cover by 3 phillips screws on bottom front. you see the drain pump up front to the right. If there is a lot of water left in machine then have bucket/pan avail and plenty of towels. wet dry shop vac helps. you can open door and remove clothes from here. reach up on right side to where the latch is on inside (you have to go by feel) and find small round pull tab on bottom of latch/lock asm, and pull down, this will unlock door. carefull of water level when opening door.
to fix problem, unscrew cap on pump asm. water will pour out, and a tray will slide out with debris clogging pump. look inside housing for remaining ****. using finger check impeller area on right..
reassemble. machine should work perfect now. Pump is designed to be cleaned out and will not void warranty. newer machines have access port cut in panel for this clean out area.

Ge front load wcvh6600.

our door kept sayin "door locked". a technician came out to see it and said it was the door lock but that he had temporarily fixed the problem. he said to call if it happened again and would have to order new door lock which runs about $160. after six washes it said door locked again. he came out agian and within 5 minutes of diagnosis said it need a new door lock. i was furious bc i had already payed him and found an new door lock on Ebay for about $70. Got the manual off the internet and had my hubby replace door lock. not very hard except when he replaced it it still said dook locked. after several hours i told him to unscrew the bottom panel because i had seen tec do the same. to our amazement, one of the wires had come loose and needed to be plugged back in. amazingly it started working perfectly. then , i put a big load of towels in and it started shaking badly again and the same problem reoccured. DOOR LOCKED. so we took the bottom panel off and the wire had com loose again. we stuck it back in and wah-la... it worked again. this has happened about 4 times now and everytime we just open them bottome panel and replace wire. i believe we never even needed the new door lock to begin with? we havent checked putting the old door lock back in but i bet it would work because it looked like nothing was wrong with it when we took it out. I hope this helps before you spend an extra $200 or so like we did for a loose wire. we have now just left the front bottom panel off and when it happens, i just bend down and tighten. Hope this helps.
