the wall oven is a jenn air modelw156w-c serial 021035df

The oven is 15 yrs old .you can get aschematic breakdown of the door on google . To get at the gasket one has to take the whole door apart . there are no clips or pins so the problem is how to hold the new gasket in place during reassembly .I used small strips of duct tape .I know you were trying to help me but in the end i was on my own .as you mention you have not done done this before and as i paid $20.00 for expert help I dont think you should have taken on my request for help .

I remove the old gasket. Then get the clips out. What I do is put the clips in the new rubber then I push in each clip at the corners and fill in by alternating back and forth till I get em all pushed in nice and neat like. The heat from the oven will do the rest.

I think you are going to have to remove the door from the oven and put is on a good work bench. You are going to need to remove the inner door panel to mount the new gasket on there. I would use some rust buster on them screws to help get them loose. I have never done one of these but would definitely love to get a hold of it. You don't see too many of these nowadays because they outlawed the asbestos styled gaskets and went with high temp rubber type door seals. How old is that oven? I don't have anything on that particular wall oven.

How do I change out my old baking element for my new one ...I has to claps on them and they look rusted ..im taking a picture of the old and neelementnt

I am sorry, but my computer dies not show your pictures well, however, you have taken good pictures.
It is not uncommon that the new element is different than the old one, and the connections may be different.
If you can find a friendly person at an appliance repair shop, they can give you the connectors you will be needing to fix this.
You cannot use just any old connector, it takes special "high heat" connectors.
God bless your efforts.

Does lincoln 1450 series oven do the same job as lincoln 1000 ovn

The 1450 Lincon and the 1450 digital basically does the same things only that the digital is more advance in that it is has mother board whith digital control. it is more acurate in its sttings eg acurate time and acurate temparature setting. It also can give diagnostic massages within the control.
As for your lincoln 1000 series please try and give me the detailed problems, im sure i can help cause i have over 8yrs experinces with lincoln pizza ovens

Kenmore Oven will not shut off

ok, due to the age of this unit, the repair will be costly. the issue here is a damaged control board. the control will run a little over 200 dollars and that without the labor charge. standard labor charges will vary form 50 to 75 dollars an hour and , there is a 2 hour standard start charge automatically leaved once the repair man arrives. this will bring your repair bill to the 300 dollar mark. you may be able to find a cheap repairman but, the price will be hovering in the 230 to 290 range a t best.

It would be more cost affective to purchase a new unit with a new warranty as well.

Front display does not light up

I experienced the same problem. Order a control panel piece and replace it (the clock panel -is what it is referred to on parts list). It is a matter of killing the electrical power, unscrewing the contro panel, unplugging the old panel and plugging in new panel. Takes all of 8 minutes to do. I am a woman and did it myself. Got tired of waiting for the man to do it. Lived with the old panel for about 4 months before deciding to handle it. I found the control panel on line for $146. Appliance repair shops quoted $300 and more to do it - telling me the part itself would cost $275. Save yourself some money and the installation was very easy.

KitchenAid Architect Series KEMC308KSS

what if we have a voltage problem in the house, then it would be a lot cheaper to have a ceritifed electrician look at this beacuse there has to be a connection that the service man is overlooking than to purchace a new double oven at a tune of 1500.00
