You need to call DELL to replace the motherboard and heatsink assembly. its a hardware problem.

A hard drive will work almost anywhere as long as you have the correct connection or adapter. You also need to make sure BIOS recognizes it if internal.

How do you put the dell latitude 510/610 in safe mode?


You press F8 at boot time.. as soon as you turn on keep pressing the F8 Key.

After running my Latitude 610 for more than an hour, turn off laptop normally. tried to start it again, no joy. It is not responding again.


turn off and turn your computer and right after you press the power button keep tapping F8 then highlight last known good configuration, or do power cycle first un plug the ac adapter and the battery as well
