I took my ipad to be restored everything was cleared off. I need an ID and a password what do i do?

Your apple ID is your email address, or your apple @me.com email address.

Your password is the one you selected and the one you use at the app store or iStore or to collect you @me.com emails.

If you don't know these, you can just set up a new account, but you will lose anything you have in iCloud.

You may also be able to connect it to the computer you have if you installed iTunes on it and backed up to it. When you connect the ***** iPad it will ask, "would you like to Restore your data to this Device".

Any questions, reply as COMMENT below my post.

Restore and delete all data

Are you saying that the phone is locked and that you don't know the password, or that you can use it, you just want to restore it to factory settings? If you can access the settings, you can either connect it to your computer and restore it using iTunes by selecting Restore Iphone in the summary pane, or on the phone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings. You might need to use recovery mode if all else fails: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Reset acer 4810t

You can start the Recovery from outside windows by holding down the ALT key and tapping F10 repeatedly
on startup. When the recovery loads you will be prompted for a password.

This should have been set by the customer if they have been into the Acer Recovery Management software previously.

If they have forgotten the password or you wish to clear the password you need to boot off the recovery disk that should have been created.

More Information

From the Acer toolbar at the top of the desktop click on the disk icon

Setup a password if requested.

After clicking on setup you need to click Create Password to continue.

Create a password and add a password hint (strongly recommended).
You now have the option of restoring from a previous Windows Vista backup or you can start the Acer recovery process.

The recovery is started by clicking Restore at the bottom of the window.

Further types of recovery are now presented.

Choose Restore system to factory default if you wish to run the hard drive based recovery and return your Acer computer back to it's original factory default state.

Note: The factory default recovery will wipe ALL data from the computer so ensure important data has been saved to disk before proceeding.

Enter the password that was previously set.

Confirm you wish to run the recovery process.

After confirming you wish to run the recovery process the computer will restart and restore all the original files
Complete the Out of Box Experience when prompted

After a couple of restarts the computer will run through restoring the preinstalled software that came with your computer and then be ready to use

hope this helps

I dont have the cd. i bought it at a tag sale. and i just put it together and its asking me for a password. i dont know it. so i wanna restore it to factory settings so that it erases...

If you are locked out of the BIOS then you can try and find default passwords for the BIOS online which may work, otherwise you will have to open up the case and remove the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS password. If it is a password in Windows, you will either have to buy a copy of Windows and use that disc, or download software which will allow you to 'crack' the password. Be aware however that using this software on a computer which you do not have the right to is illegal. I hope this helps and have a nice day!

I bought a used computer from a sale and I was trying to Restore it back to factory settings but it asks for a password. The previous owner created the password and I have no idea how to get a hold of them...

The password is a security feature and as such is there to avoid theft etc.
If you prove you own it to a responsible computer repair shop, they should be able to clear the password for you.

Making changes.

you could reformat it to factory settings, just after the computer is turned on, while the black boot up screen is up, press F11 until the system restore menu comes up, and then follow the directions for restoring it to factory settings. Important note, this will erase EVERYTHING on the computer, which is probably a good thing, since it is second hand. you don't want all their junk.

How do i restore factory settings to my packard bell desktop

If you want to restore your computer to factory settings, and you dont mind losing your files, you will need to get the cd recovery disc, put it in the cd-rom drive and reboot your computer. it will start the process from there.

beware, it will erase everything that currently is on there and when finished bring the computer to the original factory settings.
