Try these tips for the Bose and let me kow if you need furthur assistance.

  • The system is malfunctioning.
Start by checking the power adapter. Unplug and reinsert the plug from the radio and wall. Make sure both seat correctly in their respective sockets. If the main screen does not display any information while turned on, check to verify that the radio's display mode is turned on. With the radio off, press and hold the "CD Mode" button. Then, press the "On/Off" button. This will toggle the display screen on and off. With the CD Mode button held down, use the volume up/down controls to adjust the brightness of the display.

    The system has no sound.
Bose recommends checking the volume controls to make sure that the volume is high enough and that the radio is not on mute. After inspecting the volume, check the functions. If a CD will not play, check that the CD was correctly loaded and is seated properly on the lock. Some Bose radios can only play Audio CDs, so MP3, Audio DVDs and data discs will not operate. If the radio will not play an external device like an iPod, double check that the item is plugged into the "AUX IN" port correctly, the radio is set to "AUX" and the device is turned on.

    Troubleshoot the remote.
When issues arise with the remote control, check the battery. See that it is loaded in the correct direction. Many Bose remotes are powered by circular batteries, such as those used by watches. Check that the battery is seated properly. Bose recommends that the sensor on the radio be cleaned of dust and cleared of obstruction.

    Fix issues with radio reception.
The primary issue with the Bose Wave's radio reception is typically its proximity to the television. Many television sets emit electromagnetic waves which interfere with radio reception. This will block many weaker radio frequencies, especially AM stations. Fluorescent and halogen lamps and lights with any type of dimmer control will add the same type of interference to their immediate area, so keep the radio clear of those spaces.
If issues exist with FM reception, extend the power cord as far as possible as the FM antenna is located inside of the power cord.

    Remedying CD issues.
As previously stated, older Bose Wave radios cannot play MP3 or Audio DVD discs. Make sure that the disc has been recorded as an Audio CD. Store-bought CDs are audio discs, but discs burned on a computer should be double-checked with the PC's burning software. Double-check that the CD is clean and free of dust. A soft cloth, like those used to clean eyeglasses or a camera lens, can be used to wipe fingerprints or dust away.
Check that the radio is functioning correctly. Make sure the mute is off and that the radio is set to "play" and not "pause." Test the player by trying another CD, as this will show whether the original CD was defective.

    Brookstone clock time problem

Possible that your clock processor section is having some issues. it could be the crystal/ processor or associated circuits. What you can do is only externally trying to reset the device, try to use a hair dryer to warm carefully for few minutes so as to activate any capacitors/ connectivity faults. it this works, do a good cleaning careful not to damage any parts. Helpful. Good day

How do I set the time.It keeps jumping back to alarm time. Thanks

You can try downloading the owners manual from Sony's site. It looks to me like it may be a bit tricky without the instructions.
    Give this a try.,33,63,71,7,102,80,26,72,44,55,27,74,84,57,61,103,89,10,35,78,48,77,29,50,39,64,41,58,12,52,81,60,66,101,45,73,86,76,62,54,67,70,68,2,17,1,88,100,82,25,28,83,69,59,49,24,104,53,79,22,42,46,13,6,85,3,36,9,51,47,38,4,34,37,43,5

Radio of Durabrand Clock Radio WA-211C plays every hour on the ho

Thank you very much for your reply; I think I may have solved the problem by changing the Time settings to 24 Hour, rather than a.m. / p/m. I did this yesterday evening and the radio didn't come on every hour for a few seconds as it had been doing so I'm hoping this solves the problem, although there doesn't seem to be a logical reason why it should! I haven't yet tried setting the alarm function, so I can't be 100% certain that the problem has gone but I am hopeful.

On the basis that I had tried everything else, this seemed to be the only (last) possibility available; once again thank you very much for your reply - I don't know whether this solution is helpful to you.

Magnavox CD Player Clock Radio not working

This Clock/Radio/CD player has had component failure problems. The unit is probably not worth repairing. The reason is the parts and repair information is probably very limited. The cost of the repair with parts and labor will be expensive. This repair would probably cost you more than just buying a new Clock/Radio/CD player. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

Changing between the buzz and cd setting for alarm clock

From the manual (miraculously, I still have it)...

To switch the alarm sound between buzzer, church bells, radio or CD, press MODE one time, and then press REPORT.

If CD is selected, press TUNING up (>>+) or down (-<<) to select desired wake-up track.

When alarm sounds, press ALM ON/OFF to silence alarm and reset it for the next day.

To postpone the alarm once it sounds, press SNOOZE/LIGHT. Each press of this button will add 10 minutes to the postponement time. (Pressing three times will give you a 30-minute delay).
