Have you formatted it yet?

Go to Control panel.

Go to Administrative tools.

Go to Computer management

Go to Disk Management on side panel.

You will see your drive listed.

Right click on drive and select 'Format'. It will take a while but let it finish.

The power button shows dim blue light instead of regular deep blue. the light panel shows yellow light insted of all bule lights

this could be a simple ram prob, try removing the ram via the back door underneath the lap top the try rebooting, or find the cmos jumper and reset the bios/ cmoss settings, if the ram is not the prob it may be the graphics card has died, hope this helps

Lap top keeps rebooting

Sounds like it could be an overheating problem if it happens after a long period of operation. Try downloading a hardware control utility to check the CPU temperature and control fan speed. look here

Of course this assumes that you can reboot after the pc is switched off for a time.

Dropped lap top now wont boot up

press the fn key on laptop hold it down and then press the power key on the laptop. once u see any display on the screen you will get some tests running on the screen. The system will show you the error message which u need to note down. else you can do a Flea Power on your laptop. Remove the adapter and the battery and then press the power button and hold it down for 30 seconds then connect the battery and adapter back and try to turn on the laptop. See if the magic works for you

tap the F8 key as it reboots... either reboot to safe mode or last known good configuration.... what changes to your system have you done recently to trigger the bsod (blue screen of death).

reboot the system then press F8.  boot to last known good configuration. Blue screen of death (BSOD) problems mostly pertains to software issues.

Hp lap top will not reboot, restart nor retore

Sounds like a power supply issue.. Check the mother board for a light when the power is on (some mobos will not have this light). If there is a light, but it does not go on when the power is connected, replace your power supply.

Also, please post the model number of your computer.
