Washer will not fill. Water is pumped out as it fills. Then washer stops at the end of the wash cycly and will not go on to the rinse cycle

Hi just read your posting. Now can you confirm the model number of your machine for me.The problem you have described in your posting sounds like a diverter fault. This means the water in the filling mode is draining instead of recirculating. Please look under the machine for me to the front right and you should see a black fan. This is your pump. Can you please confirm this.Either your diverter is stuck or faulty or your control module is faulty. Please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you.Looking forward to your reply.

My GE WCSR2090D top load washer has flooded our house in the past, and when looked at by a repair man he said nothing seemed wrong... so we continued to use it and it now leaks/floods only once in every...

You might have a partially clogged drain past your drain hose
(In the wall etc)
Thats overflowing behind the washer.
Watch the drain for a few washings and see if it overflows
It may be second or third or fifth load. Its hard to catch
If this was helpful please rate me.

maybe to pump leaking or a hose has come off for the rinse cyc that flushes the fabric softner into the tube if its a smaller amount of water.....try this select a wash cyc let it fill up and wash for a short time then inspect the front of unit for water if no water push cancel/drain and let it drain insp front still no water then I would check for a loose hose or a cut in a hose

Do I need 2" drain for frontload washer?

not nessarily if your draining system can handle a non-efficent washer the old top load style drain 42.3 gal of water evey time it fills and for a complete cyc on the h-3 washer only 14 for a complete cyc. When the unit is in the high spin all of the water is already drained and what little water is spun out of the clothing in nothitng to worry about

Kenmore washer won't agitate, spin, or drain

I would recommend checking your lid switch. If the washer fills and doesn't do anything, or stops right after the wash cycle and then does not advance to the rinse cycle and drain, this is commonly caused by a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug.

If not activated by a lid strike, other models have the lid switch located under the washer casing next to one of the lid hinges. It is activated by a rod contacting an actuator. The mounting scews for this type are located under the operator console.

If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to access the washer interior and replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch

If the switch requires replacement, a new one can be purchased on line at appliancepartspros.com, searspartsdirect.com, pcappliancerepair.com, or repairclinic.com. The average cost of a replacement is $25 to $35.

Let me know if you have any questions, I hope this helps you.

Washer continuously filling/emptying

Your drain hose from the washer is in your household drain line too far, should not be any further in the drain line than 7 inches

Washer does not drain water

You have a sock in the pump. If no noise in spin you have a bad lid switch.
