My RCA RT2770 receiver won't turn on when I press the power button something just clicks and then it say welcome on the front panel for like a nano sec then turns itself back off. It's a shame that this is doing this It has been a good system now for about 8 months. Is there anything I can do or something that you can help me do to fix it

Yea,I hate to tell you this but this unit does this to alot of people.Mine did this I called, and they said send it in,and they would fix,I got it back after a little over a month, pluged in the fixed one,and it worked for a short time, and started doing the same thing. My unit is 10 months old,and has been broke or in their possesion for about 3 months.I wouldnt recomend buynig another one!!!!
I cannot find any way of doing this from looking at either manual for the remote or the theater. It is my understanding that RCA makes "smart remotes" that supposedly recognize and control other RCA components, but I have no idea how this works. My suggestion is to read the manuals and maybe find something I didn't or contact RCA Customer Service.
Well, I just returned the unit. RCA replied with the following solution: Let the unit sit with the AC power cord out of the wall for a couple of hours. Then hit the power button 10-15 times (with the AC power cord still out of the wall socket!) and then try again.
