Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Sounds to me like either your PC configuration is causing major problems with any Zune, or that one of your individual songs is causing a corruption. Do you use Limewire music service? If so, you likely have one or more files that has a hexadecimal code in the comments section of the ID3 tag, and this is throwing your player out of whack. Limewire isn't the only music service that does this, but it certainly is a principal offender.
What is the model number of your zune, and what Windows OS do you have?
Reset your zune, and see if it functions normally, and also go to the Zune website for other troubleshooting methods.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
