I have a acer pc and I'm trying to plug speakers in and they will not work?

First u check ur sound driver installed or not .take properties of my computer find hardware tab then take device manager, if u find pci device or multimedia audio controller with yellow question mark is not taken.u should install driver software if u could see like .
