Alpine cda-9811 is not accepting amp as external amplifier?

My alpine receiver is not acknowledging that an amplifier has been installed, instead the receiver is using its built in amp. to power the subwoofer ,thus causing it to malfunction!

The signal should go from the head unit to the amp to the subs. Someone must not have wired the subs correctly through the amp, or amp to the cd player..

Alpine CDA-9885 has no sound to rear speakers when playing a CD. Works OK when in tuner mode?? What up??

Are you running your rear speaker through an amplifier? If so, you are probably using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amp remote turn on). The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amplifier.

Make sure you are using the blue/white wire to turn your amp on. The blue wire is antenna remote turn on and turns off when leaving tuner mode. The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on.

Trying to play Ipod through my Alpine cda-9811

you need to set up your system to accept aux. this means you will need to set the 'aux on', as the default setting is 'off'. use the manual and refer to page 23 & 24. please read the instructions carefully, as they are slightly confusing.
