Question about Olympia EL1124 35mm Film Camera

Open Question

My friend bought a second hand Olympia NK5050 this evening. The camera is excellent condition, but here's the problem... Does the camera take the old style 35mm film that has to be fed into teeth of the reel or is it an advantix camera that allows the film to start up itself

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I am guessing that the film is supposed to wind itself on when you close the camera? If you open the camera you may see that the film "leader" has not been drawn into the camera. When you load the film pull a small amount of the film (1 or 2 inches) out from the canister and place it into the (usually) right hand side of the camera where you will see the gears waiting to engage in the sprockets to pull the film in. The film should also lay flat across the rear of the camera where there are gears top and bottom that should engage with the film. Also check you have fresh batteries.

SOURCE: film is stuck in kodak advantix

APS cameras are very rarely seen these days because the film loading and advance mechanism was poorly designed and engineered from the start.

Your fault is very common and given that the camera will be irreparable anyway (no spares, plus the small problem that the camera was never designed to be repaired anyway) then you need to decide whether to just chuck it away or whether to break open the camera in total darkness and manually rewind the film back into the cassette for developing.

My asahi pentax camera has a serial #6320891. Could you tell me the year? Plus have a 50 mm lens, a 49 mm close -up lens #1,2 and 4, a 67mm lens with a 67mm hase -1 lens and a vivitar auto 215 flash. Any...

these days second hand photo camera's with film, are not worth much. Some younger persons (really only a few) would like to try these camera's for a while, but they don't pay much. Not knowing what lenses you have it is impossible to guess what their value can be. A 50 mm f 1,2 would bring more than a f 2 or even a 2,8.
Then before you could put it on ebay, you should at least shoot one film, to see if the camera still works.
Lately I bought a Nikon F90 and a F50 with a zoom lens and one was 30 dollar the one with the zoom was 20 dollar. both are in excellent condition, making fine photos with different lenses.
You could try checking on ebay, what they ask for a camera like yours, but perhaps you won;t even find one.

Nothing appears on the lcd when turned on, just white

Using a card reader to download pictures is the best way to download. However, do not use the computer to erase or format the card. This must be done in the camera.

I got a graco pack-n-play from a friend. It was never used because the mattress was missing. It was brand new but manufactured in 1998. Graco does not carry replacements that far back. The dimensions are...

I don't think that the dimensions of the pack-n-play have changed since '98. I would see if you can order 'any' mattress from Graco or find one second-hand. There are sheets available for them at WalMart, and other retailers, I'm sure, so that may ease your mind if you're going with one that's second-hand.
