Immediately press F8 key while the system is starting up & you need to keep tapping F8 key while booting up. A menu will come up that says advanced boot options. Choose Last known good configuration. If does not work, restart the computer and press F8 key again. Select safe mode. A basic windows desktop will come up, then run system restore.

SOURCE: acer aspire wont boot after improper shut down

It appears that you deleted some systems files.
You have been unsuccessful with System repair, then you need to reinstall Windows plus all your device drivers (eg. video, audio,LAN etc.) and your programs. If you don't have these drivers then go to a working computer and download them from the computer's WEB download/support site.
You will most likely lose your data in the process of reinstalling Windows, if you are desparate to recover your data, then remove the hard drive from the computer and connect it to a USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port, this computer will see it as an external hard drive, you can then copy your data onto a CD or USB memory stick.

sounds like your windows installation took a hit, try booting from the windows cd into the repair console and do a chkdsk /F /R; a fixboot and an fixmbr command. if ths doesn't work, try the repair option. You can also try to boot from a hirens boot disk and try the tools that come with that.

Try tapping F8 when the acer window shows, when it shows the muliboot option, scroll down to "Last Known Good Configuration" and hit enter. If it does not boot normally, you will have to get an external dvd drive and boot off the drive with a windows installation disc to perform a repair.
